I'm not where I can post links right now, but I found something over the weeekend that could work as well - Robin being kicked and pummeled and then beaten with a crowbar by the Joker from A Death In The Family.

In any case, I came up with a couple potential screenshots:

I just feel no one exemplifies this trope like Hellboy as drawn by mignola (or fegredo). I will try to come up with a slew of examples, but here's this
The colored silhouettes do a pretty good job of capturing the tone of this trope without being too gory. Does that one look okay scaled down?
The Joker pic is okay too, although it sacrifices some brevity.
Also, how come we never got the pics from the previous thread up on the Image Links page?

11 is my favorite. Four hits and the Joker does not look like he wants to stop.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn! The Joker pic is my favorite too. It doesn't get better than 7 whole panels of just a kid being hit with a crowbar.
The text is a little hard to read, so the trope is a little unclear in that image.

I know I'm the one who suggested in the other thread that this trope should be left imageless because of how disturbing it is by its very nature, but one idea that didn't occur to me last thread came to mind watching Beauty And The Beast yesterday; this scene.
Moments like knocking Beast out the window while Beast still has an arrow in his arm, or kicking Beast while he's already on the ground, etc... make this trope abundantly clear, while also being mild enough to have gotten a G rating from the MPAA.
The computer I'm typing this from now doesn't play videos, so I probably won't be coming up with specific screenshots until later this evening, but first I just want to know if it's a good idea.
