All Purpose Code Geass Fanfiction Thread

Rob: it's been a year or two since I've seen R2 (and a year or two longer since R1), but yeah, I'm sure Suzaku was sorry for it.

Heh. Everything I know about Code Geass is second hand, except for a clip I watched of the infamous Euphinator incident.

I get the feeling Kallen didn't care much for his apology, no matter how sincere it was.

Well, Refrain is something of a Berserk Button for her, since her own mother is/was an addict during R1....

Anyways, it could have also been Suzaku realizing he was acting as extreme as Lelouch, not that he was about to drug Kallen.

I need to recommend Lulu's Bizarre Rebellion to you all. It's a crossover with Jojos Bizarre Adventure, and it is just... amazing. Like, I don't even have the words to illustrate how good it is.

All the characters are written magnificently, the action is great, there's some occasional funny stuff, and it perfectly captures the feel of both Code Geass and JJBA, and, and, and, basically, I think it's So Cool Its Awesome.

I just remembered my old idea of Nunnally being Zero after getting a medical exoskeleton and no longer being helpless.

Of the two Geass ideas I proposed for her, I now think that Aura Vision would be the better one after all. So: she can see the exact position of every single human within five hundred meters from her, even through walls. This allows her to spot ambushes, have no blind spots while piloting a Knightmare and see the positions of both her own and enemy troops in real time without any countermeasure like radar jamming. However, she can't see what those humans are doing or whether there is a clear line-of-sight from her to them, limiting this Geass' combat usefulness.

Speaking of Knightmares... after watching The 08th MS Team, I realized that Nunnally could indeed pilot a Knightmare effectively by outfitting it with a sonar, allowing her supreme hearing to accurately locate moving enemies even without her Geass - and unlike her Geass, she can hear what those enemies are doing. This means she can be better than Lelouch at commanding small-unit battles due to not relying on predictions (which can be wrong), radar (which can be jammed) and radio calls/intercepts (which can be jammed/coded/given inaccurate information) to figure out what the enemy is doing.

What do you guys think?

Sounds awesome - just gotta imagine what Lelouch is thinking about this.

Given he was planning revenge well before he became Zero, he must be pretty burned someone beat him to the punch.

Also, on the front of my proposed Code Geass Fanfic, I am just going to wait for the GM of the RP I am basing it on to finish the Recap and base my fanfic on the recap used there.

In other news in that 'verse:

• military experimentation results in my attempt at a Newtype Deconstruction - basically, the Psy-Xtender is, rather than being viewed as a new species or some mystical thing, is viewed purely as a military function and a great sacrifice by the people who volunteer for The Procedure. The Procedure itself is also extremely invasive and deeply uncomfortable, even when people are put under heavy pain killers. Its hinted to involve cutting the skull open, and due to when the abilities first show themselves, most Psy-Xtenders accidentally astral project and see themselves on the operating table. No wonder a good number of them are neurotic wrecks.

• As far as Knightmares, the Eriadont Corporation I made had some depth revealed on their Knightmare Production - in particular, we see their older, more flawed designs...which get a Breaking Out The Museum Piece moment eventually, during the Black Rebellion. Of particular mention is the Zougan, a Knightmare that is extremely fast and high performance, almost enough to make the Lancelot look like a slouch. Problem was that the Zougan couldn't slow down very well, and it has a tendency to randomly accelerate...and if it goes too fast, the whole thing explodes. Mellura does not like talking about the Zougan.

• Charlie Havengale is planning to do something against Sean's scheme to draw him into a trap, mere days before the SAZ discussion. Ironically, the battle will get called off because it was too violent and could possibly negatively influence the SAZ Discussion...yeah.

According to the original proposal, Nunnally being able to take care of herself instead of having to be babysat all the time like in canon caused Lelouch to become even more detached and disillusioned of the world, since he feels he's unneeded.

Also, Nunnally doesn't want to get revenge per se. She intervenes in the Shinjuku incident purely to stop the massacre; gaining minions is just a bonus.

I am thinking of also doing a secondary, short fanfic, maybe six chapters, which involves the RP-Verse I am writing in during the time that Japan gained its independence from Britannia. It'd basically stretch out the time frame and fix some pacing issues.

The fanfic would involve a group of Britannians who decide to try to attack Japan one last time in a guerilla campaign. Their whole strategy involved a superweapon Knight Giga Fortress which they would use against Black Knight bases.

The story focuses on one of these commandos / terrorists, and his childhood friend / love interest...who is now one of the Black Knights pilots, determined to stop him and his commander.

It focuses on the aftermath of a number of Lelouch's choices and how his actions affect people who are not so readily seen.

So I hear that the Red Comet of Britannia is a pretty cool dude, he shoots EU mooks and doesn't afraid of anything.

I am currently in the midst of reading chapter 4.

I was just wondering... if Rolo were to somehow survive without Lelouch knowing, would it be possible for him and Nunnally to fall for each other sometime after the Zero Requiem, on the basis that she's all he has left of his surrogate big bro? He once wanted to kill her out of jealousy, yes, but that jealousy indirectly killed Lelouch instead (that's how Rolo feels, anyway), so Rolo is massively guilty of his past actions and is trying to atone by serving her. That's how it all starts, anyway; in a sense, the two are each other's Replacement Goldfish for Lelouch.

Of course, this all depends on the reader accepting that Rolo is not inherently evil, just excessively paranoid due to past letdowns. Which... some people might have issues with.

As for how he survives... maybe the Geass Order (or whoever trained him) knew about his power's drawback and subjected him to, as part of his assassin training, special physical conditioning that causes his body to go into a death-like state when overstressed by his Geass in order to avoid actual death. Naturally, they didn't tell this to Rolo in order to keep him in check - after all, he's much less likely to recklessly overstress himself if he doesn't know that he'll get away with it. So Rolo actually did think he was going to die back then, yet he went ahead with it anyway - a fact he doesn't fail to inform Nunnally of afterwards.

I'd prolly have to see an initial draft before I could really say one way or the other.

I'm looking for something I started reading a several years ago, the most I remember about it a peggy sue fic and I think Lelouch was wearing a eyepatch. If someone familiar with it can tell its status as well it will be appreciated.

I hate Ohgi. I really do. The simple fact that he hid Viletta Nu from the rest of the Black Knights set off a chain of events that led to the bittersweet ending. He doesn't deserve the happy ending he got. Any recommendations of fanfics that address this particular issue? Post-S2 or S2 redone fics where bad stuff happens to him as just part of the story or hatefics that solely focus on making his life hell, I'm fine with anything.

Does anyone have any links to good Peggy Sue or Watching the Show fics for Code Geass? Those are the ones i read the most because i just find them really interesting. I think i've burned through most of them but i want to read more.

Definitely some problems, when it comes to writing, especially since it's a script fic, trying to make it easier to keep up with who's talking and their actions. Inspired by Super Robot Wars' fixing of Code Geass' ending, and filled with references and homages of the Metal Gear franchise, Red vs. Blue, Fallout, and others. I can only imagine that it won't be popular, but at least it'll be put out there.

... what if Nunnally inherited Marianne's innate aptitude for Knightmares but simply never got to show it in canon due to no one in their right mind ever thinking of putting a semi-crippled girl into one?

Maybe we could see that in Season 3. Nunnally takes a page out of Lelouch's book and goes "If a king doesn't move forward, how can he expect his subjects to follow?" and gets a special Knightmare she can pilot even in her crippled state.

I was throwing this around in the context of that earlier idea of mine that Nunnally has access to a lower extremity medical exoskeleton◊ that allows her to walk without crutches. She'd still be limited to Sutherland-type cockpits due to not being able to operate foot pedals in the pose required by Gekka-type cockpits - which is a problem if she decides to throw in with the Black Knights alongside Lelouch, as they stopped using that cockpit type after the Burai.

Which would be good to keep her from becoming too OP: she's comparable to Kallen and Suzaku in terms of raw aptitude, but handicapped by being forced to use inferior rides (Burai at first, then a Burai cockpit Rakshata crudely kitbashed into a Gekka frame).
