Now it looks like the Detective Comics won't feature the backup
. Even Comics Alliance crossed the word out.
This makes me happy: now I won't have to buy a new series!

With blood and rage of crimson red ripped from a corpse so freshly dead together with our hellish hate we'll burn you all that is your fateSo... Owlman shenanigans?
Maybe they'll have someone in the prime universe adopt the Owlman guise and do what Killer Moth failed terribly at (be an anti-Batman), and the "Night of the Owls" is something like the attack of a followers in an "Owlman Inc" to counteract the "Batman Inc."
Granted, I've read absolutely nothing about this event, so I'm just spitballing.

Best part, it is a Batfamily Crossover that is already heavily build into the current Batman arc, so the other ongoing stories will not be interrupted (My least favorite thing about crossovers. To many good story are left unfinished or are hastily ended to make room for the crossover story).
I feel like you missed a few words there. But I'm definitely looking forward to this. I assume it has to do with the Court Of Owls and if so, I can't wait. Batman is my second favorite in the new 52, second only to Animal man/Swamp thing.
Remember! Hyperbole is an exaggeration made for comedic effect, and shouldn't be taken literally!

. The new event will feature in backup stories in Batman and Detective Comics overseen by Scott Snyder and drawn by Rafael Albuquerque: both of American Vampire fame. Batman will be increased from $2.99 to $3.99.
Personally I'm torn. On on hand, it means I'm paying more for my comics. On the other hand: Scott Snyder and Rafael Albuquerque are going to write a Batman event. I'm excited.
