Also, they want David Spade to voice Bugs, instead of you know maybe JOE ALASKEY!
Like creepy stories? Check out my book!David Spade and Bugs Bunny sound nothing alike. Take away Bugs's Brooklyn accent and he becomes a Captain Ersatz.
Hell, Harvey Keitel's a better choice than David Spade.

More Buscemi at http://forum.reelsociety.com/When Jerry Beck (animation historian, and has a close-knit with WB) said on the radio show Shokus Radio that WB is (or was) considering David Spade for Bugs Bunny in a live-action/cgi movie.
Like creepy stories? Check out my book!Actually pretty funny. It's called, stop letting nostalgia cloud your subject and be open to new things for once. I hate that everything has to be an exact copy of the source material or its Ruined Forever.
Funny, I just figured that reaction was mostly due to people hating David Spade in everything except The Emperors New Groove and the fact that most adaptations of this nature have kinda sucked. See: Smurfs, Yogi, Scooby-Doo (though the latter is probably more of a YMMV than the rest).
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.^^ You're talking to Looney Tunes fans here - folks who grew up on reruns and thus widely (and ironically) believe Looney Tunes began with Chuck Jones and thus have decided long ago that they think it should always stay with him despite Looney Tunes being built on putting new ideas on the old.
Wow, I've been cynical about fandoms recently...
Anyways, as long as Spade can do a convincing Brooklyn accept, as far as I can tell his style of humor might be fairly well suited to the character. That said, I have yet to see Spade as anything but a kind of passive jerkass straight man, and Bugs is known for being more direct and a bit more of a nice guy.
^ However, there's also that. I've never been the kind of person to judge an upcoming anything based off of it's genre, but recent films haven't exactly made this sort of thing look good. As always I think it's a good idea with a good writer, but we tend to not get good writers and get cheesy renditions instead. Couple that with Warner Bros long standing habit of blaming the idea for things going wrong when it was really just their poor execution...
Call me, as always, cautiously optimistic.

In THIS film, they want to make Bugs IN CG.
