Main RP here.

Each of the characters has a backpack with about two weeks worth of food (either you had it on you, or you took it from one of the dead passengers), a communicator with basic functionality much like a smartphone (it works as a phone for calling each other for about twenty miles) and a battery that never needs replacing, and no major injuries.

Gimmicks

  • Owen: A mop. Or rather, M.O.P (Multi-Operational Pole). It's a pole about five feet long, one inch thick, and about seven pounds. Made out of "future" metals and circuits, it has a few operational modes, such as a blower (think like a leaf blower), vacuum (shoots out the other end), grabbing pinchers, retractable spike (as if it were a spear with a very thin head), and if you attach it to other components (which you don't have) it can be used as a vacuum with the bag, paint sprayer, hose, etc.
  • Roger: Doctor's bag. Can treat small injuries using cauterization laser, half a dozen instant-casts (like leg casts, etc), a pair of self-cleaning gloves, air filtrating mask ().
  • Matthew: Welding set: A mask much like modern welding masks, but with an air filter. The torch is similar to normal torches, but is self-powered (call it some handwaved fusion mumbo-jumbo) and draws fuel with vents, so as long as it is in a fluid (air, water, etc) it will work. It does not overheat from normal mode, even if used all day continuously. If set to high, lasts only twenty seconds (with a one-minute cooldown), but shoots a solid 2-foot long directed flame.
  • Astrid: Deactivated power armor, about sixty pounds. The power core is damaged and irreparable. While the suit is airtight, the filtration system is off, so there's only enough contained air for three deep breaths. Can still support itself against gravity due to mechanical construction, but no horizontal assistance. A six-inch retractable blade is embedded in the right hand (it retracts in on itself).
  • Boris: Little robot pal. No lasers or long-range deathrays of any type (or at least, none that are operational), but you can have an assortment of little tools that pop out on the arms.

Ailedhoo, the shuttle was what landed, not the large ship, so there wouldn't be a corridor. You could probably just change that to "closet" and have most of the post work.
