Still at the very edge of the barrier, Randy continued to watch the new display set up by the Witch of Salvation. People trapped in an endless dream with no hope of escape. "Hahahahaha..." he laughed, shaking his head from side to side. "Well truly a nightmare." he commented, kicking off of the rock structure of a chair. "But again, I'm a hypocrite. I say what you can't do with humans and I go around screwing with them." he merely shrugged.

"You have fun doing whatever you like Ms.Gretchen." the young boy turned around, waving the back of his hand to the girl. "You can be the Goddess of False Hope if you'd like... even Gods can have identify issues." Randy stopped. "And... hello." he saw Suwako in the distance. He smiled, raising his hand. "Hello thereeee!"

Suwako clapped her hands together.

"Well, we can bring her some fun stories and souvenirs and stuff after this," she cheerfully replied, before focusing herself on the sand ahead. She frowned at it, as if it's very existence was a troubling issue. "Sand isn't any good for a landscape..."

Godly abilities surveyed the composition of earth beneath them. Sand, sand, sand... and some rock. "Haha! Yasaka-san, watch this!"

The rock layer below trembled, and began to warp. Rising in a grand hill, it carried several more layers of rock atop it and upwards. The rock, which had been so deep beneath the sand, was pushed up and up and up, shoving more sand aside. The sand was displaced and scattered, Suwako using her control over it to shunt it far off to the side and make room for her new hill.

The hill lowered itself, and smoothed out. Now, there was a deep, wide depression in the sand that gave way to bare, tan-gray rock. Suwako wasn't quite finished yet, though. Concentrating, she began to fill the depression with soil. After all, sand wasn't suitable for growing plants, now, was it? Of course, Kanako's input would be required, since water was necessary, and she wasn't anywhere near finished. She still needed to expand this, and all other kinds of things were needed. But this was a good start.

She had barely noticed the male figure approaching, at least not until now.

"Eh? Oh, hello!"

Kanako seated herself on the hill, rummaging around in a pocket for a minute before she managed to produce what appeared to be a shallow dish and a bottle. There was little to be done whilst she waited for her friend to finishing sculpting the landscape, so she may as well spend that time profitably. 'Profitable', in this case, meaning 'drinking and keeping an eye on the man that wanted to talk to Suwako'. Maybe she could make it rain sake later? No... that would be silly, everything would die of alcohol poisoning even if she could make that happen.

"Just to get the formalities out of the way, my name is Randy." the boy continued to talk as he walked forward to meet this new Goddess. "I'm the God of whathaveyou and I'm horrible with personal skills. Now that you know about me, let's learn about you." he talked and, just like everyone else he's met, he placed the facade of happy onto his face and speech. He had his hand in his pockets and his back slouched, showing... no interest in anything around him besides the girl before him.

In the tropical seas surrounding the desert countries's coasts was a temporal rift. As the two planes of existence slid apart as a hand sundered the space and ripping apart space time in a vorpal pattern. Emerging from the temporal maelstrom was an incredibly feminine being. A slightly tattered black shift adorned the small frame, arms bare as it was sleeveless.

Eyes an electric green hue gazed out at the nearby land, and hair the color of pale silk was caressed by the salty sea breeze. Breathing in the refreshing air, the being then decided to anchor a point into this new world. The skies above whirled into a flux, revealing rainbow voids of unknown colors. Steadily, a structure that looked like a giant lance fell from the heavens and plunged its base into the tropical waters. It was the Tower he summoned, a place he was tasked with protecting by his creator.

"This world shall do..." Yazata muttered as he padded away from the whitewashed structure. It was metallic in a way, its materials an unknown substance to most worlds. Giant panes of gilded curls reflected the sun, and slightly dark glass, opaque enough to shield the inner workings of the structure from prying eyes. It stretched up towards the sky and stopped once it matched the peaks of the tallest mountain in the distance.

Satisfied the Tower was stable, the Variable then marched off to find signs of life in the distance.

Suwako blinked, and tilted her head. Well, this god had just introduced himself... So, really, she should return the favor. She smiled, making sure that some of her focus was still on filling the depression up with soil. She'd have to cover the hill over with soil too, but that could wait. Plus, Kanako was still on, it, and covering Kanako with soil would be funny but probably a bad idea. Suwako giggled to herself a little at the thought, before returning her focus to the man before her.

"I'm Moriya Suwako!" she cheerfully introduced herself. Behind her, the depression had almost filled up completely with soil. "I'm the goddess of earth, and mountains, and stuff like that! And, um... oh, I like frogs! Frogs are fun!"

"Frogs? Hahaha, simple minds enjoy simple entertainment." the boy said with a laugh. "Oh, I apologize, that's just my fun." the smile still visible, he looked off into the distance, seeing the Earth form into other shapes and sizes. Certainly Suwako's power at work.

"Mmm... since my home has been destroyed by a terribly noisy neighbor." Randy slid a glance in the direction of Gretchen's barrier. "Could you prop a new house up for me?" he turned back to Suwako with the same plastered smile he always wore. "It doesn't have to be fancy, just something to live in."

Discord considers things for a bit, feeling the powers of the world, and attuning himself to the horrid harmony that all ponies seem to have. Frankly, it disgusts him to do so, but he knows he must. "Well, then, time to give my little friend the slip!" Discord closes his eyes, and, beside him, an exact, though not solid, replica of himself appears beside him. Both him and his replica snap their fingers, and disappear in a flash. His replica appears miles out to sea where the nuke blew up. Discord, himself, appeared before Suzaku, "Hello, hello, hello."

"... Simple?"

Suwako frowned. She wasn't simple at all! She just really liked frogs. But the boy's request was reasonable, she didn't see a problem with it. For a few moments, soul stopped filling up the huge depression in the sand. Suwako's focus was directed elsewhere. Off behind them, soil formed in the air and fused with itself, creating a coherent structure. Soon enough, a dirt hut rested itself on the sand.

"I'm not simple!" she said, returning to filling the depression with dirt(finishing it off, even). "But there's your new house."

With that, she turned towards the rock hill nearby.

"Yasaka-saaaaaan!" Suwako called, waving to her friend, "Does it look good?"

"The landscape or the house? Neither," Kanako said, going straight from A to B and flying between them rather than walking down the steep slope. She didn't want to spill her drink, after all, "A lot more can be done for the former than the latter."

"Going to introduce me to your friend?" the purple-haired goddess asked, looking at him. He seemed harmless enough... but so did the hell raven, once you removed that ridiculous third leg thing.

A great flower bloomed into existence near Suwako, Kanako, and Randy. A woman rose from it, motherly in appearance and garbed in a simple white dress. She looked at Suwako, smiling warmly.

"Greetings. I am Gaia, Goddess of Nature. I sensed others here attuned to the earth, so I believed it appropriate to introduce myself."

Suwako puffed her cheeks out, frowning.

"I just got started, Yasaka-san!" she complained, throwing her hands up in the air rather dramatically. She was full of indignation, this was just the beginning of the landscaping, she was only asking if it was a good start. "I'll make it better! There's going to be hills, and valleys, and mountains, and stuff, and-Oh, um, this is Randy-san!"

With that, her focus returned to the dirt. This time, she was altering the sand. There was too much of it to push away... instead, she was re-configuring it to match the dirt in the depression. There was a steadily expanding circle of soil, now, replacing the sand.

"Yo." Randy brought up his hand, offering a friendly salute to Kanako. And then Gaia appeared out of nowhere and from the ground. "Oh hey again," he said, saluting once more, "Haven't you got to work yet?" he stopped himself. "Never mind, don't asnwer, I could care less."

And now back to Kanako, "I guess Googly Eyes is your friend?" he looked to the girl, his hands in his pockets as always.

"She's something like that, yes," Kanako replied, seating herself on the ground and resuming drinking. More channels and more depressions were needed before she could even consider making it rain. Suwako ought to get a move on; they would be here for weeks at this rate. Weeks of dull landscaping, without anything to make the barren hillsides the least bit interesting.

Suwako tilted her head at Gaia, then smiled.

"Hi! I'm Moriya Suwako, goddess of earth and mountains and stuff! And, um, anyway... hm... Oh, right!" Suwako quickly remembered what she needed to be adding to the now large expanse of dirt. Slowly but surely, various depressions formed. Now, a channel, snakelike, worked its way through the dirt, the beginnings of a river. A shallower channel was filled with rocks, surely intended to be a stream. Other depressions seemed intended to become ponds.

They were popping up all over the expanse of dirt. Dirt also now thickly covered the hill that Suwako had created.

"I have already created the beginnings of a civilization, thank you." Gaia replied to Randy, frowning. Then she smiled once more, turning back to Suwako.

"Charmed." She looked around at Suwako's work. "You move the soil well, little one. This has the makings of a great land."

For a brief moment, the thick, almost impenetrable wall of mist surrounding the Kingdom of Salvation began to stir. Something, multiple somethings to be precise, had emerged from inside, and began spreading out in all directions.

Soon, the group of Suwako, Kanako, Randy and Gaia would find that they had a visitor. A strange, small, yellow visitor, to be precise. As the creature approached them, she squeaked, bowed her head at the group, and... Produced a cup of tea, which she then held out to them, as though in offering.

Not long afterwards, the others gods would find that they had a similar looking visitor, who acted in exactly the same way towards them.

As the wandering Variable walked the wastes, he spotted something... out of the ordinary. No, not spot. The exact word was... smell. His keen nose picked up the scent of... tea? That brewed drink found in many worlds, most often associated with a certain example of a western civilizations and various oriental ones. As he glanced up, he saw a small being/object approaching him.

As it got closer, Yazata immediately likened it to a doll, with its features. Even more surprising was the fact that he was offered the tea by the thing. Seeing as it was quite rude to not answer it, he accepted the cup with a small frown. Suspicious... Still, it was not like he had anything to fear if he ingested it due to the way he was created. Holding said object delicately between his right thumb and forefinger, he experimentally took a sip. "It's good." The compliment came from his mouth as soon as he let it flowed down his throat.

"In any case... are you a native inhabitant of this world?" Inquisitive green eyes peered at the Familiar, the china cup hiding the delicate lips of the androgynous being.

Tea was nice, but Suwako wasn't thirsty. Instead, she quickly passed the tea off to Kanako(she didn't want to spill it with what she was about to do). This little creature... there was only one thing that Suwako could do about it.

Almost immediately, the childish goddess threw her arms around the creature, and hugged her. She was so small, and cute, and soft, and lots of things that Suwako liked! Not in the same way as a frog, of course, a very different way, but Suwako still thought she was adorable!

"You're all cute, and stuff!" she said, the landscaping behind her stopping for the moment as she completely lost focus. However, there was plenty of canals and depressions in the dirt at the moment. Suwako rubbed her cheek against the small creature, and tightened her hug more.

"Thank you, it's appreciate but I'm not interested." immediately he could tell where these things came from. Yeah, Gretchen, just as he thought. The boy sighed and brought both arms up as if he was surrendering to something. "Whatever." he was talking to himself more than anything. He trotted toward his new house and took a seat in the darkness, one hand wrapped around his knee. Was he gloomy? Not really, he was just relaxed at the moment.

The Familiar that had approached Yazata bowed her head again, and squeaked out a series of seemingly random sounds. Whilst it ressembled no known language, her meaning still seemed to get across.

"I am a herald of our great shining light, Kriemhild Gretchen, the Witch of Salvation," the sounds seemed to say. "She seeks to rid this world of despair, and bring her glorious mercy to all who live in it. Are you opposed to this?"

The Familiar that had approached the group of goddesses (and Randy) was about to do the same, at least until she was suddenly bowled over by the deceptively young looking earth goddess.

"Herald... Gretchen... Salvation!" she squeaked in a panic, "Rid despair... Glorious mercy! Opposed?"

Kanako took the tea carefully and placed it on the ground, looking around at the landscape. Well... it wasn't quite finished, and things were too clearly defined to seem natural, but now was as good a time as any to introduce some water to the world. Hopefully, that would serve to delineate things such that it wasn't an eyesore.

The black clouds gathering in the sky, leaving a conspicuously blank patch above their little group, were all the warning that was given before the heavens burst and buried the newly-formed hills and valleys in sheets of icy fluid. By appearances, hurricane force winds were buffeting the rain, too, but you'd never guess from the dry island of calm that centred itself around Kanako. One thing was for sure: at this rate, there would be more than enough water to keep rivers flowing.

"Umm..."

Still holding the squeaking familiar in a tight hug, Suwako stoop up straight. Could she keep her? It would be nice if she could keep her! However, it seemed like she was saying something... that probably was important.

"Mercy?" Suwako asked. Mercy was nice, it was the opposite of being mean, and cruel and stuff like that, and that was what the mishaguji were like before she had conquered them, so that wasn't good. But mercy, mercy was definitely good! Except when you were fighting. Since danmaku wasn't lethal, you didn't have to be merciful at all.

But still...

"... Can I keep you, Squeaky-chan, if I say yes?" Suwako asked.

And then, it started raining. Suwako took a quick look at it, eyes shining(yet still no release for the creature in her arms). This would be a lot more beautiful now... though she probably needed to smooth her landscaping out soon. And plants. She needed to add plants.

"I repeat, again, simple." Randy had walked out of the house again in the next thirty seconds. He couldn't seem to make up his mind or something got on his nerves. That's right, Gretchen's distorted ideal. Randy himself toyed with the human race for the sake of interest and entertainment. What made them humans were their faults, the thoughts and experiences that built up the foundation of what it is to be human. Gretchen ignores that, she forces her own ideal heaven on those who may not even want it. That's what annoyed him.

"Tell Gretchen to leave others out of her fantasy." the boy said, walking toward both Suwako and the others.

Sipping the tea in supposed silence as he heard the proclamation, eyes closed in discernment. For a while, no sound came from the pale haired figure save for the minute sounds of ingested tea. When the last drop had disappeared into his mouth, his eyes slowly opened once more. Resting his emerald irises upon the being, he slowly nodded. "Indeed... I would to pursue a an anathema to the vices afflicting many such worlds."

"But... It seems to me that your leader seems to have taken too much upon herself. If her titles are to be believed, then she alone is the source of hope?" Slowly extending the tea cup back to the Familiar, Yazata looked more serious. "Might I meet your esteemed leader?" This question was asked casually, though in actuality the Variable was registering his options. It seemed to be in his best interest to see what this being of "glorious mercy" was like.

Should she be anything like the Variable suspected... It would be akin to a certain event that transpired in his past. One he still loathed to remember to this day. Idly clenching his left hand, Yazata prepared himself mentally for the future.
