As far as I know, Dust Strikers was the Smash Bros clone. Izuka was trying to be more like Fatal Fury.
A create-a-character function would be nice, although it'll likely require the game being in 3D graphically if appearance is customizable.
Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here.Hm... maybe I'm getting my titles mixed up then.
Judgment was the Final Fight-esque beat 'em up, though. Why wasn't Judgment included as a canon character? I know his game was a spin-off, but he was pretty cool.
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarI think Isuka also had a Final Fight-style mode.
So anyways:
- Guilty Gear Isuka - Fatal Fury features(dual-lane)
- Guilty Gear Dust Strikers - Super Smash Bros features(simplified controls, multi-level)(for the DS)
- Guilty Gear Judgement - Final Fight-style mode(Beat 'em Up)(for the PSP)
- Guilty Gear 2 Overture - Dynasty Warriors features?
They experimented with the series quite a bit in that time.

Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here.Overture was more like RTS/hack and slash hybrid, making it something of a Spiritual Successor to Herzog Zwei.
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarIn any case, I never actually got around to playing Judgement. Is it any good?
Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here.DW has RTS elements for sure, but focuses more on combat. You're pretty much an One-Man Army in those games. You kind of still are in Overture, but there's also the task of managing your servants in order to destroythe opposing player's Masterghost while simultaneously attacking other servants and protecting your own Masterghost (among other things), so it's a lot more complex. I wouldn't say that Overture = DW.
I wouldn't know. I actually haven't played Judgment either. I've only watched a few videos.

Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here.Yeah, it was different. Not bad, but different. I don't know why it was a 360 exclusive, though.
The only thing that would justify a re-release would some sort of remake.
"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarIndeed. Ishiwatari thinks highly of Overture.
A First Person Slasher? As in hack and slash? That'd be new.
Also, some good news:
AC+ is coming to PSN SEN and Xbox Live.

"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarI think a first-person slasher would be something like Dragon Quest Swords. Although I liked the game, I don't quite think it'll be a good fit for Guilty Gear. Alternatively, it could be an FPS with a bigger emphasis on close combat attacks. I also don't really think that's a good fit for Guilty Gear, although it could be interesting to see.

I don't mind the series experimenting and branching out as long as ASW continues to churn out the fighters we know and love alongside them.
Seeing as I couldn't find a copy of AC+ at a store yesterday, this news literally couldn't have come at a better time.

"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarConsidering I have friends who have only 360, and others who have only PS 3... this is a toughie.
Hrm... I wonder how they'll handle the resolution change for the PS 3/360 versions. As far as I know, AC+ is SD-only.
Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here....I wonder if it has Move support. Guilty Gear works surprisingly well with the Wii Remote and Nunchuck.
Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here. That would be hilariously unplayable, with the exception of Slayer aka Mr. "Laughing Limb-Flailing Madman" (which would instead just be hilarious).

"Just wants a friend but had to give up his ding dong for it, tragic." - AngelLightStarSorry, I saw the word "Move" and immediately thought "Kinect."
Right, no I don't really see it being too playable with Kinect. Maybe somebody can figure out a way to make it work but I'm not holding my breath. I imagine there being a better chance of playing with a Guitar Hero controller.
...Which could be fun, interesting, and actually a bit fitting.

Robo-Ky Mk. II and the customization system was cool (and it should come back in a later game), but I think Isuka's biggest problem was compromising some of its own gameplay mechanics to be Super Gear Bros. Isuka.
