So outrages is what jinki means?

I certainly prefer outrages.

According to this txt file, Jinki means "Divine Tool", and the Outrage is the combination of all of the Jinki. Granted, some of the facts in this FAQ are out of date.

@ Vertigo: I've seen the theories about Paracelsus being a jinki, but not Axl or I-no's weapons. I highly doubt it as well. And yeah, there are eight in all. Besides Sol's Fireseal, Ky's Thunderseal (which he gives up to save Dizzy in Overture), and Anji's Zessen (his fans), Slayer apparently possesses one, and the other four are presumably in the custody of the United Nations.

Slayer has one? Haven't heard that before. What would it be exactly?

The "I-no's guitar is a jinki" theory I think was guessed as the source of her power since nothing else was known about her at the time and GG is so rock based that having a guitar as a uber-powerful weapon would be fitting. Axl's I think was connected to the Raven is future Axl thing, before it was confirmed the two weren't the same.

Oh yeah, another I recall was that Venom's pool cue was a jinki, under the care of the Assassin's guild and given to him by Zato, which Venom takes as a symbol of their love. I could never quite buy into that one lol. Crack Pot theories are funny though.

It's a dagger able to cut through forbidden beasts, I believe. Its name is currently unknown.

It's been ages since I played this game. The only one I own is X2 on the Xbox. I can't remember which characters I was good with, but apparently across all of our local versus matches, Dizzy pwned.

I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting Agency

I would like to warn everybody that the Wii port of Accent Core Plus is a Porting Disaster, missing a few things. Like endings for the characters, instead displaying a still of their concept art. Also, the Training Mode doesn't display names for the character's attacks on the Command List, much less short video clips of what they are.

Which characters endings are missing? I know Sol and Order Sol's endings are still in. I know the port has another glitch where if you do one of EX Order Sol or Kliff's Overdrives, the game freezes. It's a pain in the ass, but it's the only version of the game I could find, so I'll deal with it.

At least Jam's ending is missing. When I saw that complete lack of cutscene after having struggled against I-No for half an hour, I quietly turned the game off and never played again.

P.S. What's with Jam's weird emblem things? Do they make certain attacks stronger or unseal stronger attacks? What triggers them? I wouldn't know, the Command List doesn't explain any of this.

The emblems make either her 236K, 623K, or 214K stronger depending on which button used.

22K makes 236K stronger.

22S makes 214K stronger.

22HS makes 623K stronger.

Don't ask what's wrong with me, because I don't know either.

See, I have trouble actually finding this information online, even. Game FA Qs has the character guides spread out al over the place (and I don't know how up-to-date any of them would be edition-wise) and the Guilty Gear W Iki is just about the plot.

Jam is really fun to play as, but she's probably my least favorite female character in the game. Her story is pretty stupid, she's kind of a jerk, and her voice is really annoying. Her design is cool and she's got awesome moves but she's so damn annoying.

What's your guys' favorite instant kills? Mine belong to I-No, Justice, Jam, Axl, and Venom's. I never got why after GG 1 they gave Sol and Ky such boring ones. All Guns Blazing and Zwei Voltage were cooler than Napalm death and whatever Ky's is called. Even Ride the Lightning is more exciting then his instant kill.

My favorite instant kill is also I-no's. Other good ones are those of Millia Rage, Venom and Jam, and Baiken's is pretty interesting too. I also really like the funny instant kills - those of Bridget, Faust, May and Robo-Ky.

Although the Instant Kills are Awesome, yet Impractical by general, there's an easy explanation for Sol and Ky.

My faves are probably Johnny, Venom, and Slayer's. Comical ones like Bridget and Faust are good ones as well.

Dragon Install Sekkai would be my favorite, if it counts. Johnny's, A.B.A's, May's, and Dizzy's (both of them) are pretty cool too.

Can't really remember most of them. I like Bridget's, though.

Why is May's instant kill command different from everyone else's? It just makes fights where you have to use it far, far harder than they already are.

Question for you guys: Since GG3 is inevitable, I'm assuming that we'll get a proper English localization, much like Overture did. If so, who would you want to voice the remainder of the cast in English? (The goal is for the cast to not have too much of an overlap with BlazBlue, for obvious reasons.)

Obviously, the Overture cast would remain the same (Troy Baker as Sol, Liam O Brien as Ky, Yuri Lowenthal as Sin, Wendee Lee as Valentine [or, to be specific, her clones], Dave Wittenberg as Izuna, Michael Mc Connohie as Dr. Paradigm, and Jamieson Price as Raven), although I'm not sure if Yuri should still voice That Man. While I liked Liam's performance as Ky, he sounded a bit too gravely. I haven't heard the Japanese version, so I have no idea how much older Takeshi Kusao made Ky sound, but I would think that Ky would still have a somewhat youthful voice (I mean, Overture is only set five years after the other titles). I always thought Liam would be better suited for someone like Testament, Venom, or even Eddie.

I could see Mary Elizabeth Mc Glynn as Baiken, honestly.

She would be perfect for Baiken.

As for the others, I think it would be cool if Patrick Seitz replaced Yuri Lowenthal as That Man (though, I guess the only reason they went with Yuri is because That Man is supposed to be taking on a younger appearance in Overture). So far my hypothetical cast would be: Karen Strassman as I-No, Kyle Hebert as Johnny (I guess Michael Lindsay could work too, but he moved away from wherever Bang Zoom is located *

), Travis Willingham as Slayer, Michelle Ruff as May, Steve Staley as Chipp, Roger Craig Smith as Axl, Keith Silverstein as Testament, and Stephanie Sheh as Dizzy.

The other characters I'm drawing a blank on.

I loved Ky's Overture voice. He sounded gravely but considering his situation, that's understandable. Izuna was great, Sin's performance I didn't like as he sounded too whiny. JYB would actually be a good fit for him. I don't know much about V As actually but Kath Soucie would make a good fit for May.

Those are some pretty good suggestions.

Yeah, I think the reason they used Yuri was because That Man is apparently regressing in physical age as he gets older. Depending on how long after Overture 3 takes, he could possibly be darrin'd again if he ages backwards too much.

Potemkin would need to have a deep voice, so I'd thinking either Beau Billingslea or Anthony Landor.

He's supposed to sound whiny. He's an uneducated child in the body of man with who had a falling with his dad and whose mother is sealed away in time. I think that Yuri actually fits Sin more than JYB, who'd probably make him sound like a dumber Ichigo (his Renton voice doesn't really voice for Sin).

And Liam was good, but I thought the voice was too deep and gravely. Again, I'm not saying that the dubs should exactly match the source material, but after listening to three games of "Kokoda!" and "RIDE ZA RIGHTNINGU!" going to Overture made me go "Eh..." It's only been five years. You'd expect Ky to not sound... so old. I don't think he went through double puberty and turned into Sanctus, after all.

I dunno. Kath Soucie would probably make May sound too old. I doubt she'd be involved anyway, seeing that we'd probably just have a bunch of VAs from the LA area.
