I'm pretty sure that the Backyad and the Boundary are supposed to be the same place.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireNot really. There's some similarities to them but the Cube and the Azure, the cores of those realms, are not the same thing.
Stella ~Part 3 (Atelier Shallie)I'm wondering myself what is with Testament now. He's obviously not been retconned out but did he die or something after X or XX?
And Izuna is just furry Jim Carrey so where'd he go too?
I'm quite confident in my shitposting you knowIzuna was mentioned in Revelator, and per Paradigms words, they haven't been able to get into contact with him since Overture. Which...doesn't bode well for him.
"I'll show you fear, there is no hell, only darkness." My twitterThe Cube isnt the core of the Backyard. It's an artificial structure built by That Man to interface with the Backyard.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireI really dont see how.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireIf anything, it brings them closer. Wasnt take magahars created to attempt to harness the power of the boundary and the timelines?
I think he means the Cube and Azure being completely different concepts.
"I'll show you fear, there is no hell, only darkness." My twitterI mean, yes. The Cube and the Azure are not the same thing I dont see why that means the Backyard and the Boundary are separate as well.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireI mean beyond the whole "realm of information" schtick there's nothing really similar about them.
Stella ~Part 3 (Atelier Shallie)This is what I get for skipping out on Overture.
How would you understand anything of Xrd without Overture?
You mean the game I skipped because I didn't own a PS 3 at the time?
I mean, until recently, XX and Xrd were all I knew of GG. I had a lot of holes to fill in, but I was able to piece a lot of it together, too.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireIt is very funny how the weird rts game nobody played is so absurdly important to the lore.
I hadnt touched a GG game before Xrd but I knew immediately how important overture must have been once another Valentine showed up as the antagonist.
Ok, but that doesn't change I didn't own a PS3 at the time & by the time I got a PS4 I just wasn't interested since the people I knew who did go on to do their own thing with their lives. It's also why I had to skip the last games for Blazblue. Well that, & because I didn't want to buy CF because of the lack of dub.
As to why I skipped Overture, it just didn't look all that appealing.
LOL I only just learned the opening lyrics to Eye to Eye isn't FOOOD FIIIIIIGHT!
Woolie back at it again and we finally get to Xrd....Kinda. We actually make a pitstop through Vastedge first, and then to the Xrd arcade routes. Seems like the Story Mode content will be next time.

For Those who Seek the Thrill of Death: A Dramatic SMT3 Hard PlaythroughAnji and I-No movelists
I always took my losses against Anji as a sign of how bad I am in Guilty Gear. Granted, the guy who I keep playing against knew the mechanic a lot better than I do. He was also the same guy who got me into GG to begin with.
Testament and Izuna being MIA during the whole xrd thing feels like a very missed opportunity. Testament seems dedicated to tensing to the trees but whats izuna's excuse?
Also now that i have a clearer understanding of the Backyard....it sounds awfully simillar to Blazblue lore, dont ya think? Particularly The Boundary and Take-Megahara systems
