A Timeline for the Marvel Universe

So, I've been considering writing a timeline of major events in the Marvel Universe (with tropes clearly identified, ala The Trope History of the Universe (also one for DC Comics, but they keep tossing their continuity in the air like a salad.) However, I'm a bit behind the times with many of their series (X Men, for instance) so I would definitely need help to make sure its up to date (then again, that's what wikis are for right?) Just wanted to know how much interest and support there would be for such an article.

Note: this would be for major historical events (and possible futures) in the Marvel Universe, not The Present (which would likely require its own subsection.)

[up]I mean a chronology specific to the Marvel Universe, not a hodgepodge of everything. And appropriately potholed eg. "Billions of Years Ago: The Universe is reborn, and so is Galactus".

Even though the layout is kinda terrible, I'd think this site would be useful to you (if you didn't know it already):

I think X-Men is organized by time line or something.

[up][up]Yes I have seen it, in fact it inspired me to do this. But it's VERY out of date and includes little details that aren't really necessary. I want our version to be more relevant and (more importantly) up to date. For example, I hear that Chaos War revealed new facts about the creation of the universe, but I didn't buy the miniseries so I wouldn't know them.

OK, I've launched the Timeline Of The Marvel Universe page. It's still a work in progress, of course, as there's a lot of stuff to add yet (but please, stick to events that have important ramifications, don't just list every character's origin.)

Also, I'm not certain how to handle the section about The Future, as the Marvel Universe has dozens of contradicting possible ones.
