Honestly, I think the only reason we have a bubble or season resumption at all is because Lebron is desperate to get a ring in LA, and he's prioritizing that over more sane concerns.
I hope I'm wrong.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyOf the 8 teams left the last time any of them won an NBA title was when the 76ers won it in '83, and the last time any of them even made the finals was when the Nets made it in '03.
Is anyone rooting for any team in particular?
The sad, REAL American dichotomyNot particularly, but the fight for the crown looks very exciting, regardless. And the promise of an unexpected champion is quite tempting.
Although the way the Clippers won this round makes them a fun candidate, honestly.

Wake me up at your own risk.Crosspost with the NHL thread.
A tale of two games played on the Island of Long, decided by lines.
The Islanders squeak by 3-2 in Game 4 after McDonagh's last shot after pulling a spin move pulling Varlamov out of position gets blocked at the goalline by Pulock to tie the Stanley Cup Semifinal series at 2.
Meanwhile, Kevin Durant hits an off-balance jumper with 1.6 seconds left to put the Nets up 110-109 in their second round Game 7 against the Bucks...except replays show it was a two-pointer and not a three because Durant's toe just crossed the 3-point line. Bucks win in overtime and move on to the Eastern Conference Finals.
There have been quite great comebacks this year. Saw any jokes about the Jazz?
Wake me up at your own risk. They may not be a frontrunner, but I'm just glad the Bulls have come back to at least decent/good! I wish the Pistons could do the same.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyBulls have been fun to watch as well, which is nice.
The extra fun part is that there was a poll that basically stated before the season that DeRozan joining them was the worst trade in the summer, because there was no way two very similar players could work together (him and Lavine).
Lol, it's too early in the season to say anything for definite, but still, that's way off so far.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyWhenever you make a top 10 list like that there's definitely going to be a lot of misses. Most people thought the Derozan signing was bad though so they weren't in the minority. The Jarrett Allen signing is also looking good.
The Paul and Lowry signing is all about winning a chip so taking the risk is worth it IMO. They look like they hit on the Robinson signing though.
Thunder lost by 73. Largest margin in NBA history.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyIf you don't like that, you don't like NBA basketball.
That's one next level curb stomp.
Also, Curry broke the three pointer record. Maybe a game later than expected, but it was inevitable.
Wake me up at your own risk. And against the Knicks too. Which is also inevitable
Going into the all-star break, the top 8 teams in the East are within 6.5 games of each other.
The second place team in the West is 6.5 games behind first.
The sad, REAL American dichotomyDamn. Phoenix is dominating.
Wake me up at your own risk.Looks like the Lakers might miss the play-ins at that rate, yes?
It's not the first time an aging superteam ends up failing big time...but it's the third time it happens to that particular franchise after Shaq-Kobe-Malone-Payton and Kobe-Pau-Howard-Nash.
The Kings have clinched their 16th straight losing season and 16th straight season missing the playoffs, both NBA records.
That's rough. Sounds like both the Lakers and the Kings will both need to really think about things in the off-season.
Wake me up at your own risk.16 years since their last playoff appearance. The Rock sang this 19 years ago, and they've only gotten worse.
Not picking Doncic in the draft might end up being the dumbest choice by a franchise ever. Even if he's not LBJ good, he'll probably end up as a hall of famer.
I wonder if there were some, erm, personal issues between Doncic and Divac. Because Divac had to know how good the kid was. Other countries might have an excuse for not trusting European prospects, but he has none, the dude is from Serbia.
Yeah, there are rumors there was some drama behind the scenes. Bowie level f'up. Just Kings things.
Get your tiny violins out, Lakers are officially done!
They had resumed in a bubble in Orlando, but stopped on Wednesday because the Bucks wouldn't play because of the shooting in Kenosha and the other teams followed suit. They won't play tonight and voted to resume tomorrow.
The Lakers and Clippers had initially voted to withdraw from the tournament altogether in an initial poll.
