'All he needs is for somebody to throw handgrenades at him for the rest of his life...'The Archers' Bows Have Broken - Brand New
'Cause the God I believed in worked on a campaign trail.
'Cause the God I believe in never worked on a campaign trail.
I always hear the first line of Led Zeppelin's "Livin' Lovin' Maid" as "with a purple umbrella and a fifty cent ham" - apparently it's actually "...a fifth in hand". A Led Zeppelin line I couldn't believe wasn't a mondegreen when I looked up the lyrics would be "I saw a lion, he was standing alone with a tadpole in a jar". Just, what?

More from BEP's "Just Can't Get Enough": "I'm addicted, wanna germ inside your love."
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle. For "Only Girl in the World", it's either "hot pie" or "hot bride". I hear both on the album and for live performances. Either one can work, but I bet the former.
Speaking of "Rihanna", for "You Da One", when I first heard the line "You are da One so I make sure I behave", I thought she said, "you are da one that I make sure to behead". Grim, huh?
Love songs about the praying mantis are so rare these days.
Insert witty and clever quip here. My page, as the database hates my handle.Hearing "I'm a soul man." as "I was so bad." For a more obscure example, I swear the Ominous Latin Chanting in a certain piece of music from Epic War 5
sounds like "6 foot sawdust".

I always used to hear "Ain't nothin' gonna break my stride" as "Ain't nothing gonna break my spine".
Pink's song "Glitter In The Air" made a lot more sense when I realized she was saying "Have you ever fed a lover with just your hand" and not "Have you ever felt a lover with just your hand."

Fear is a superpower.I was walking down the street
When at the corner of my ass
I saw a pitty, little thing approaching me.
She said "I've never seen a man", who looks so well alone? Could you use a little company?
I said "You're such a sweet young thing, why you do this to Yor's self"
She looked at me, and this is what she said
"Oh."
There ain't no rest for the winter.
Money's not growin' tress.
I've got Bills (As in, the name) to pay, And got mouths to feed...

From She Blinded Me With Science- "She turned her tender eyes to me/As deep as Danny Ocean/As sweet as an eHarmony" *
From Tom Sawyer, by Rush- "What you say about his company/Is what you say about your loyalty" *
I'll forever hear "Hit Me With Your Best Shot" as "Hit Me With Your Pet Shark".

"Only Girl in the World" by Rihanna: "I want you to love me / like I'm a hot pie." My sister says it's actually "like I'm a hot guy", but I can't imagine that's it either. ...Is it?
