The Wizard laughs, "I'd like to see you try, but no. Just influence things. Shape the world."

"My desire is to reduce all that makes me suffer to ash. I think I can pull off a good enough spree that will make Jack the Ripper look like a petty thief." Terry said.

"Oh, we don't do anything major... At least, nothing that seems major. Minor events to change the world. Stage a riot that leads to people losing trust in the government; kidnap a business man's daughter pretending to be the CIA, and destroy the US economy; start a rumor, and lead a nation to revolt against a tyrant. That sort of stuff. Small events that lead to greater consequences!" The Wizard grins as he speaks, "That or we all become superheroes."

Natalie turned to Terry and gave a firm and immediate "NO. We've dealt with Revenge people before. One day they're burning up back alley muggers, the next they're blowing actors up because they fumbled their lines." She addressed both Terry and the Wizard. "Around here we draw the line at massacre, robbery and inventing a new mental disorder. With anything more indirect, if you're unlucky you might get a slap on the wrist."

John couldn't help but notice something Natalie said "I'm sorry but did you say you're keeping the existance of supervillains secret?"

"Think of it as like a bit of mould under the skin of an apple. I don't know if mould works that way, just roll with it. Would you prefer to scoop it out while it's still in a small, fairly unnoticed area, or wait until it bursts onto the surface and ruins the whole fruit?"

Tilting his head in confusion, John asked "Um...can you explain that in another way?"

"Okay, let me just think of a metaphor that I can't botch up, and isn't cancer related."

Natalie thought for a moment.

"...okay, you have a wooden house that you share with other people. Then one day, you spot a small hole, where a termite is chewing. It's minor, and no one else in the house has noticed it. Now, you have two options. One is to deal with that termite now, while it hasn't done anything incredibly major that can't be patched up. The other is to let it go, and pretend you can't see it either. When that happens, the termite is just gonna eat more and more, and soon inspire other termites to come in and eat loads too. All those termites are gonna keep multiplying and destroying, until your living room is almost unrecognisable, by which time both you and the other people, who may not have had to worry about it to begin with, are both frantically trying to stop the damage done."

Natalie wiped her brow. "How was that?"

Terrified by the metaphor Natalie gave, one could see John shaking and with his tail between his legs. "Okay, I think I get it."

"I think I can manage..." with his tail slowly moving back to it's usual position.

After the fear of the idea got out of his system, another question popped up. "So, you were talking about four different groups you put lightlives, I would be a New Purpose right?"

"Well, that does sound a lot like New Purpose. Except maybe that last part, that sounds a bit more 'Love'. 'Course it also sounds a lot like irony." She picked Joh, up by the scruff of the neck. "Who'd have figured the Heart had a sense of humour?"

John couldn't see why Natalie was shoken up suddenly, despite his body being the source of it.

"What was?" asked John.

"Wha?" John turned to look at his hand. The digits of the paw had turned into fingers and he had grown a thumb.

The puppy shook at the sight of his changed limb, swinging for a bit because of the movement. It quickly reverted back into a paw. "I'm starting to think my body is less cute and more freaky..."
