A large spaceship hovered over the city, blasting at some of the buildings. The man piloting the thing expressed no emotion as he fired blast after blast, seeing the towers crumble before his eyes. He then tapped into his communications.
"Eless Base, this is Peter Parker. I'm inside the city. Now, are we just causing random destruction or is there something we must accomplish?" Peter said.
With arms crossed, a figure sat in his small mecha, staring at the video feed. The carnage was horrible, as innocent civillians were caught in the cross fire. The young man's eyes widened, and then became narrow. He felt his blood burning.
"This... is unforgiveable!"
Without a second thought, he activated his mecha, the core drill acting as the key to the weapon. Lagann roared. No matter what, those responsible would pay.
However, before he could go, he saw a shadow over his shoulder. Turning, he saw Nia behind him. A worried look was on her normally carefree face.
"You were planning on going." she said.
Simon nodded. There was no point in denying it, and lying to Nia would be like lying to a child. It would be like breaking something precious.
"I have to. This ain't right. Bro would have jumped at it in a second. But..."
Nia looked at him understandingly. "But your Bro isn't here anymore." A look of determination came to her face. "But I am." They looked at each other, and there was a moment.
A few minutes later, both Gurren and Lagann had left their maintenance bays, speeding off toward the city of Luman.
A good distance from the town under attack, a Vulture ship moved past. It was probably more accurate to call it a moving base though, since it looked like a metal structure that hovered along the ground. The captain
◊ of the ship looked over the monitor showing the destruction. He remained passive as he looked on. A brunette woman
on the bridge of the ship turned to him. "Captain, what should we do? They don't look like they will stop once they finish with that town." She asked. The captain turned to her and said "Send out Witz and Roybea to cover the Freeden while we gather water."
Crew members on the ship started to pile out towards the side and pull out a hose. They put the hose into a nearby lake and started to drain it of water. Two mobile
◊ suits
◊ rushed out of the hanger in the ship to form a perimeter around it. What no one noticed though was the boy that had snuck up to the ship.
"Hehe alright, this shouldn't be too hard." He whispered to himself. Garrod climbed up the side of the ship until he reached a window to pull himself inside. "Alright, now to find Tiffa Adill." He reminded himself. Something caught Garrod's eye though, a safe in the corner of the room. His smile grew into a huge grin as he moved over to it. "Couldn't hurt to nab myself a bonus." He muttered as he started to crack the safe. After a minute or so he got it open and looked inside. The boy's smile was gone when he saw that the safe was mostly empty save for one thing.
"A mobile suit control unit? Well its better than nothing." Garrod said as he put the unit in his jacket. Carefully he snuck out of the room he found himself in and started to search through the halls. There were a few close calls here and there, but thankfully no one spotted him. He looked in one of the rooms and spotted a girl
◊ sitting on a bed. She was pretty cute, causing Garrod to stumble a bit as he entered the room. "I...uhh..I mean....bah! I'm here to rescue you." He finally managed to get out. The girl just stared at him for a moment before saying "I was waiting for you."
They stormed through the fields. Large, thin humanoid mechs with no defined features. They resembled manicans. Each one with no distingtive features. The only weapons they had were beam sabers and rifles. They were the low ranking mechs of the group. Those expendable machines were known as Elions. Without emotion, without free-will, they only fight for their empire with no desire of their own.
"Ahead." one man called out. A platoon of around ten men follow him into the battle field. Guns ready, they begin to fire upon the approaching Niveus soldiers. Gurren Lagann was their prime target, however.
"You three, go in from all sides." said the commander.
"Affirmative." with beam saber drawn, each man surrounded the red mech.
They swung down, all three, in effort to cleave through its metal exterior.
"Can you match the UNDEFEATED of the EAST!?" said Master Asia. A black Gundam swooped in, smashing its fist into one of the lifeless Elion mechs. "You have no spirit!" the man said, kicking another white mech. "Nothing you can call your own!" another yell, another Elion down.
"You can't match me in combat!" a long, pink beam branched out from his palm. It resembled a cloth but it was so much more than that. "A Ahhhhaaa!" slice, slice, slice, each Elion mech that opposed him was cleaved into different sections. Legs and arms off, each body fell to the ground. A total of five defeated by the old man. He took in a deep breath, assuming a stance.
He was ready for more.
"GRAAAAUGH!!!" GURREN LAGANN roared, in tandem with it's pilot. The two headed mecha summoned a pair of drills on each arm, and pierced two of it's foes. There was a horrible grinding noise, as the katar-like drills tore through the cheap armor of the Elions. The third of the Elissian mecha continued it's swing, only to find it's attack blocked by another drill, this one coming from the "mouth" of Lagann.
There was an explosion, as the power cores of the first two mechs ignited. The final of the three attacking mecha lost it's arm and beamsaber from it's proximity to the twin detonations.
Gurren Lagann's paint was scratched.
Within the cockpit of the mecha, Simon scanned the remaining enemy forces. His breath was heavy, as he gathered the fighting spirit that the ship ran on. A comm line was opened to Nia. She was thinking. "It appears that we have walked into a trap. Simon, I do not know what we should do."
He gave her a small grin. "Watch my back, warn me if they try to get behind us."
GURREN LAGANN's mouth opened, and Simon's voice issued from it. "My Turn"
The Mecha shot forward, moving with ridiculous speed toward the enemy formation. The drills on it's hand no longer resembled knives, being more like twin lances as the mecha moved in for the kill.
"PIERCING KNIGHT DRILL!!"
The Ellisian mechs fell victim to Gurren Lagann's ferocious attacks. The second wave of seven Elion mechs reeled their rifles up and open fired. They knew they were going to die. Gurren Lagann was too strong for them. They knew their place, they knew their fate, they accepted it because that's all they could do.
Open fire.
Open...fire...
Those were their last thoughts as the mech approached.
One mech, two mech, three mech, four. They flew into the air, falling into the ground. The Master Gundam stood tall with its arms crossed, the sun shining off its sleek, black body.
Soldiers in white armor ran out from the city, breaking into the decapitated Ellesian mechs and taking the pilots hostage.
"Master Asia." one man said in a nervous voice.
"What is it?" the old man looked down to the ground, the Mech mimicing his movement via the Mobile Trace System. "Just do your job, leave the fighting to me." is all he said as he stormed forward, running as fast as he could into the midst of the battle field.
"Uh.. uh.. um.. okay." the man lost his words as the geezer sprint into the core of the fight.
"Captain, Niveus forces have engaged the mobile suits in the city." The brunette said. The Captain of the Freeden looked over the fighting with his normal blank expression, eyes hidden behind his sun glasses. another
woman on the bridge turned to the captain. "Captain! Someone is driving out of the hanger!" She shouted. The captain stood up with a "What?"
He was home free. Garrod took one of their jeeps and drove off, Tiffa seated right next to him. "Alright, now to get away from the fighting and we're home free!" He cheered. Garrod looked over at the girl next to him, a bit curious how she could keep the same passive expression all the time. "That way." Tiffa said, pointing to a sealed off factory on the edge of the town's fighting. Garrod blinked in confusion and looked at it. "you want to go there!?" he asked in surprise. Tiffa nodded her head and said "Power....is waiting there."
Garrod wasn't sure what to think. This definitely wasn't normal damsel-in-distress behavior. Besides, all they had to do was get passed the town and- That thought was cut short as a stray shot from one of the emotionless mechs nearly hit the Jeep. Garrod swerved around before getting control of it again. "Alright, you sold me Tiffa." He said. The boy raced the Jeep past the two forces, heading for the factory.
A White fighter jet raced through the skies above the battlefield its pilot shaked his head at the carnage going on beneath the city. Muddy Waters had seen this sort of destruction before, every town, every city, every gotdamn planet that these Ellisians every set foot on wounded up the same way; a burnt out corpse of its former self. They'd done a lotta damage on those poor people below, but with god an all his angels as his witness, Muddy Waters would stop those Ellisian fools right in there place.
Spotting Master Asia's "gundam" Mc Kinley veered his valkyrie over to where the old master was fighting. A comm channel opened up to the Master Gundam, "Avin trouble old man?" he sadi ribbing Master Asia, "Heheheheh don't worry Ol' Muddy Waters gotch your back." Flippin several switches to arm the clusters of micromissles that were mounted underneath his valkyrie's wings the veteran pilot was ready to pick off any Elions that managed to survive Master Asia's furious assault.
A blue mecha with a car for a head charged at the enemy units. Before they had much of a chance to react; it quickly lifted one of them into the air, and began using it to beat the crap out of another one.
"You bunch of chumps think you can trash MY city and walk away?" said Coop. "..well, ok, it isn't my city; BUT ATTACKING IT STILL ISN'T OK!"
Like a hurricane Gurren Lagann struck. It tore apart the reinforcements, and took minimal damage in the process. It's advance was unstoppable, explosion after explosion following it as the mecha's drills pierced it's foes' armor. One mecha, it wrenched the rifle from it's hands and fired the weapon into it's blank face, before turning the weapon on the mass production model's allies, throwing it aside when dry.
The enemy mechs didn't stand a chance, their mass produced frames no match for Gurren Lagann's weaponry. Jumping into the air, Gurren Lagann rained down on the final of the mass produced units. "SOUL OF BURNING PASSION! SUPAAH.... INAZUMAAAA.... KIIIIICK!!!"
With the last of the enemy mechs in the area destroyed, Gurren Lagann advanced, continuing on it's way from the cities outskirts to the city proper. No more playing around. It was time to make the bastards pay.

"Aha, the help would be appreciated!" answered Master Asia. The old man turned course away from the outskirts and to the main city.
"Mmmm... yes, yes, of course." he took in a deep breath. "Hey, you, Muddy Waters!" he called the newcomers name. "Assist in protecting the outskirts of the city!" the mech began its run toward the center of the city. One step and he was a blur. The Master Gundam burst through the two more of the faceless mecha. Their bodies falling against an already ruined building. The sight made the man close his eyes for a single moment. This carnage, it was all because of them, all because of the Eless Empire. Using the image to strengthen his resolve, he opened his eyes. Onward. That was the only option. To move forward and to break through the ranks!
Again a blur, the man burst through. "Simon!!!" Master Asia called the young boys name as he landed.
"Interesting, isn't it?" a new mech appeared
◊, holding the head of an Elion mech. "They're worthless, really." it was about 3/4th the size of a typical machine. Compact body built for speed. "I'll show you a good time." is all the young boy said.
The long tail protruding from the back of its head extended into a long, red beam. One arm reached up to clench the new weaponized whip and with one rip, it was a sword. The machine assumed a stance, pointing the tip of its sword toward Coop. "You call that miserable excuse for scrap a mech? Ahaha..." amused. That's it, he was amused by the fat man and his antics.
"You're a disgrace perhaps... you'd like to taste my blade?"
Simon heard his name called, and his Mecha turned, finding itself face to face with a purple mecha. A comm channel opened up on his view screen with it's pilot. It was a man he and Bro had met once before. "Master Asia?" he asked.
All the while, both Simon and Nia were fighting off more of the mass production models. One met it's end as it's power core was pierced by Gurren Lagann's drill. Another was cleaved in two by the mecha's sunglasses, working as a boomerang. Both exploded in tandem, framing the Gurren Lagann in fire.
Garrod and Tiffa reached the warehouse eventually, with some weaving through mechs. Inside was completely abandoned, and looked like it had been that way for years. There was a mech laying on transport that had been there for just as long. Garrod blinked and exclaimed "Thats...a gundam?!" Tiffa climbed out of the Jeep and stood in front of the mech. "This is the power that was waiting for you." She said. Garrod was pretty confused for a few seconds. He shrugged though and got out of the Jeep. It would be easier to get out of here in a Gundam than in a Jeep, plus it sells for better.
Garrod and Tiffa climbed into the cockpit, Garrod getting into the driver's seat. "Alright, this doesn't look too tough to pilot." he said as he went to reach for the controls. Unfortunately one of the controls was missing. He grumbled for a second before an idea hit him. The boy reached into his jacket and pulled out the Mobile Suit Control Unit that he stole. He plugged it in, causing the entire thing to start up. "Haha alright!" He cheered.
The Mobile Suit
◊ picked its self up from the transport and pushed its way out of the factory. It looked around at all of the fighting going on and noticed three mechs. A blue one with a car for a head, a two faced one, and a black gundam. They seemed to be holding the bad guys off by themselves, impressing the boy a bit. Garrod noticed one of the emotionless attacking just in time to pull the GX out of the way. "Hey! Get out of the way!" Garrod shouted as his gundam raised up its beam rifle and shot the enemy mech in the face.
The Freeden noticed the newest gundam climb out of the factory. Most of the members on the bridge were confused, but the captain stepped forward. "Is the moon out?" He asked. The others looked at him confused as he repeated himself. "Tell me if the moon is out!"
"The one and only!" Master Asia replied to the young boy in the mech. One sweep kick, another Elion down. A spinning round-house as soon as he returned to his feet, another Elion smashed. They kept on coming. They were weak, nothing compared to a competant pilot, anyway. What were they planning?
"Keep it up Simon!" the man yelled, swinging his arm to smash another enemy. Too easy, way too wasy.
"RAOOOOOORRR!!!"" large, organic dragons roared.
◊ They stomped into the battle field, their cannons ready to fire. A total of three towered over the typical mech, in comparison they were three times their size. They were large and bulky and the weight added by the cannons made them sitting ducks.
They roar again as a monstrous amount of white energy surged into each cannon.
If those things fired, nothing would survive.
When the Bio-organic dragons suddenly burst onto the battlefield Muddy Waters urged his Valkyrie up into the clouds high above to city to mask his presnce from this unknown new foe; however the ominous glows that began to emenate from the cannons mounted on those monsters caused him to reconsider his plan.
"Calm down now, or Ol' uncle Waters'll give you a spankin!"
Breaking through the clouds Muddy locked onto the cannons mounted on each of the beasts and unleashed a hail of micromissles and gunpod fire down on his targets.
While taking out another wave of the mechs, Simon got a comm from his co-pilot. There was a worried look on Nia's face. "Simon, there are enemy guns at the horizon. We must stop them, or their attacks will destroy the city. Innocent people will be killed!"
Simon's eyes narrowed. Lagann's center console began to spin, as the normally white spiral at it's center began to fill with green.
Green fire began projecting from Gurren Lagann's chest. It's eye's glowed with green flames. Suddenly, the flames cut out, replaced with golden drills, lining every spare inch of the mecha's structure.
"DRILL MISSILE BARRAGE: FIRE!!!"
As another mecha's missiles rained from the heavens, Gurren Laganns fired straight and true, spiralling toward their target at awesome speed.
Both Simon and Muddy's missiles fly straight to the dragons. Their bodies are exposed to the open fire. The missiles exploded, causing different sections of their body to fall to the ground. One dragon's cannon stock fell first to the ground, smashing into the dragon next to it.
"RAAOOOR!" a plea of agony. The second dragon fell to a knee. They were bleeding. All three were spewing blood as they took more and more damage.
In the end, all three were defeated and on the ground in a bloody mess. They were built to withstand such assaults but in the end the combined effort of the two attacks were enough to destroy them.
"Excellent! Show them the fury of man!" Master Asia laughed, crossing his arms as he watched the onslaught.
Those were organic, weren't they? Hmmm...
A thought passed through his head. He began piecing something together. What were they planning? Bio-organic mecha?
"Good job, Mud!" the old man gave Waters a thumbs up and a smile from beyond interior of the Master Gundam.
"Heh Jus doin my job Master Asia. The new kid didn't do too bad either." The jet tipped its wing in the Lagann's direction in an impomptu salute. "Im gonna go patrol the outskirts to see if any o the refugees need any help, ya think you and da boy can hold down da fort till I get back?"
The jet was now circling over its two allies ready to give some covering fire if need be.

"Nobody. Insults. My mecha!" said Coop. "Bring it on!"
Megas charged at the enemy mecha; preparing to punch it.
—
Sybille, meanwhile, was currently engaged in a dogfight with air of Ares mobile suits in the skies above the city.
"YOU BASTARDS! HOW COULD YOU DO SOMETHING LIKE THIS?" she yelled, tears running down her face.
As she flew towards the two enemy mechs; her VF shifted from Gerwalk mode to Fighter mode. Faced with an enemy that was suddenly flying towards them at ramming speed; the two machines scrambled to get out of the way of the jet.
However, this left them unprepared for the massive amount of missiles that were fired at them from the machine. One of the two was blown to bits by the missiles. The other one, however, managed to evade most of the missiles; just in time for Sybille to circle around and shoot off one of it's wings.
The mobile suit spun around wildly in the air; before it crashed into a nearby building and exploded.
"So... This is the Gurren Lagann I've heard so much about... Heh... This will be fun. CHANGE! LEOPARDON!" Peter said.
The dog shaped ornament on the ships hood split in two, revealing a head. The head and a chunk of the ship shifted forwards, making the chest. Soon, arms folded out of the ship. The fins retracted into the thrusters as the wings fold in as well, making shinguard like armor for the new legs. The ship, now a robot, landed, and stared at the mechs opposing him, but most importantly, Gurren Lagann.
Simon turned his attention to the approaching mecha. He did not recognise it, but he knew somehow that this mech was the enemy. He began to focus his fighting spirit, even as he studied the enemy mecha.
Meanwhile, Nia sat in her own cockpit, scanning the enemy mecha. She wasn't the most tech-savvy person, but Gurren had been made easy to use.
Gurren Lagann stood, facing its foe, it's arms crossed with it's back to the afternoon sun. It would not move, but to respond to a challenge.

Stage 1: Scarlet Hellfire
Screams fill the air only to be suppressed by the rampant sound of gun fire. A city on the outer edge of the Niveus Empire known as Lumen. They stormed through the city, easily breaking through it's outer-guard.
The mechs they were using. They were different from what's been fought before. Scarlet energy fluxuating from each mechanical body. Performance, durability, all increased. Their mechs tear through each opposing mass-produced machine like nothing. Arms, legs, all fall from the sky in a heavy metal rain.
"Akane!" one man called out. Reeling up a rifle, he pulled the trigger. Bullets storm through the air only to hit... nothing. The opposing automaton literally ran under the spray of bullets to stab the the firing mech in the head, ending the pilots life.
The crimson machines storm into the city, causing destruction. Buildings fall, women, men and children lose their lives, all for the pursuit of the single ideal of world unification.
"It seems to be working well." one man spoke, pushing his glasses up onto his face. A bald figure with wrinkles up and down his face.
"Yes Doctor." a young woman bowed to the older man in respect.
"Artifical Organic Mecha... I should have done this years ago." a stroke of his beard with one hand. "Maybe selecting that outer town for a field test was a good idea."
"It also furthers our goal." the woman cut him off as to correct him.
"Yes, yes, that too."
"Doctor?"
"It's nothing, ahaha, nothing... leave me be for a moment."
"Are you malfunctioning, Doctor?"
"Never better, my assistant. Never better. Please, I need to check on something in private." the man raised a hand, waving the young girl off.
"... Alright." the young female walked off, leaving the man to his work.
The smile never left his face. He walked forward, placing a hand on the side of a rail. "Precious, aren't you?" his eyes held nothing but pride. What was before him, what he created, he was proud. Oh so proud.
Hundreds of red, transperent eggs appear out of a mechanical incubator. One section opens up, steam flying out from every nook and cranny and into the man's face.
An artifical human of short life, capable of powering those mechs with artifical will power.
This was his greatest secret.
