It's amazing how he manages to be the hardest boss fight in the game and he doesn't even have any adds. Even SC Leonhardt had to bring in some annoying mechanical lions and clone himself to be a challenge.

I really like how whenever the narrative builds up a character's power level to Chuck Norris-esque levels, they actually manage to live up to that hype when faced in battle instead of winding up an anticlimax. I'm hoping we'll get to see Ein Selnate in battle in this possible Dominion-focused game coming up.

He's still a great example though. Sadly once you get to the combined version of the above in the Nightmare Arena, the sheer amount of stat boosts your party likely has means you can run circles around them.

The most hilarious one is speed demon Zin, where he can buff himself to use the third strongest S-Craft in the trilogy, fast enough to cast Earth Wall 3 times before the round's over, and still has enough HP to tank damage and hit like a truck.

Did it on a second run, still easy. If you're very fast and you put up good defense, there's nothing the game can throw at you to stop it. When Kevin's getting 5 CP every turn and casting arts that are constantly feeding him CP, Earth Wall spam plus Grail Sphere will block anything even those two can do. If anything, it's Kilika's S-Craft that ruins runs faster because of how early in the fight she can use it.

Man, I really hope Kilika has a bigger role in the Calvardian arc, she's been one of my favorite NP Cs in the franchise.

BTW, just do there's no confusion, my last post foesn't refer to anyone in particular but with how Falcom seemingly forgot how to make challenging boss fight during the Erebonian Arc.

I think everyone saw that coming. Given how much of an AAA-tier voice talent she's become over the last few years with Horizon, Borderlands, and so on. And all the projects she's not returned to reprise in.

For what it's worth, the version I played was perfectly legible, if not especially graceful. There was some goofy grammar but character voice came across pretty well regardless. Although I am curious what other translations use for Randy's nicknames for people, because those were super clunky for the most part in the translation I'm playing, which is the same one for both Zero and Ao.

I've heard from people that have played the original script say that while the grammar is mostly understandable, a lot of the voice is lost, though not entirely. Though as I understand it, yeah Randy's stuff would need the most localization, as he's like Kevin's casual style of talk on crack.

Playing with voice acting helped a lot with that imo.

I feel like I'm in the minority for being kind of so so on the Evolution patches. It's like, really cool to have voice acting, and it's great they put in so much effort to voice the sheer volume of dialogue. that they did. But Sky especially, the script wasn't written for the voice acting in mind, and a lot of the writing and portraits still do most of the grunt work in dictating the feeling of the scenes.

Estelle, Olivier, Agate, Tita, and some others have some pretty great performances. But I don't have it in me to take Joshua's girly casting seriously.

In CS, I feel like the voice acting in both dubs, though I prefer English IMO works more organically with the script. Characters comment on voice tones, the way others sound, and there's a lot of vocal humor, especially with Sara, Towa, and Machias that wouldn't be there without the casting.

So, back when I was playing 3rd I got a Foil trading card on Steam from it.

I chucked it up in the market place and forgot about it until now when it sold for close to 14 dollars.

Not too shabby.

Could NISA theoretically jump ship and form its own company? They do a lot of work that isn't related to their Japanese branch.

So here's an impression of an Alpha build of III Nisa showed off at MCM.

Big take away IMO is they've casted the new class and Tita. Speculation in the comments has her played by Brianna Knickerbocker.

After Ys 8, you don't want them rushing a PC port out. I'm cool with them taking their time.
