Elena looked over to Paul... however, unlike him she couldn't form a smile at their encounter "I do... Well, it makes sense for you to be here, given what you told me"

"Yeah," said Paul, "but I didn't expect you to be here, myself. So I guess you're... immortal, too, ain't ya'?" Paul stratched the back of his head. But as he did so, the ground quaked again. "But, I guess this isn't the place for this, huh?" He turned back towards the rest of the group. "Aren't ya' all finished yet?!"

"Acch," said Jack, slapping his palm onto his face, clearly annoyed, "you're taking too bloody long,". And so, he swiped the knife back from John, and hurled it at Gray's neck.

At once, Gray's entire body stopped all motion, but he still hung there in mid-air, his hands on the orb. And he continued doing so. And there was no sign of the power fading...

"Oh dear...", said Aurora, putting a finger to her cheek. "... I suppose that the orb has became so attuned to Gray and... how do I put this, his 'natural energy', or state of being, by this point, that even when incapacitated, the orb essentially keeps him going, in a sense. However, I do believe that Gray himself is unconscious. Which means that there may still be a chance for Arc to take control, though he may have something of a fight ahead of him; I'm honestly not exactly sure."

Jason swiftly turned back towards Arc. "Well Arc," he said, "are you ready?"

Taking a deep, shuddery breath, Arc nodded and was running towards his father after just a second of hesitation. With no idea of what would happen, and if he could even handle it, he leapt up and grasped the orb in both hands.

As Arc held the orb with the tightest grip he could muster, surrounded in that green glow, his hair flowing upwards due to the sheer power surrounding him, he tried his best to control the power of the orb, to take away the mass amount of power Gray had collected, or perhaps even shut down the project altogether. But as Arc tried to control the power, he thought he could hear a voice in the back of his head. It started small, but slowly and surely, grew in volume and clarity. And once Arc could fully hear the voice, it said only one thing.

"Hello... Grandson."

The voice... was the voice of Odin.

It was taking every ounce of Arc's energy to just hold onto the orb, and even then it was difficult. He did not need the voice of his dead grandfather distracting him. Was the orb causing him to hear Odin? Maybe he was just going crazy. "What do you want?!" He had no idea if he'd spoken out loud, but right now it was the least of his priorities.

"How pitiful, Arc', said the voice of Odin. "How on Earth could you think I could be killed this easily? Though in a sense, I suppose I am dead."

"As you know," continued the voice of Odin, "in the event that I was unable to complete my work, I fashioned an orb, designed to host a 'copy', if you will, of my magical abilities, so that another could carry on my work; specifically, those of my bloodline, though the Orb has become so attuned to Gray's energy at this point, that only others with similar energy, such as yourself, could even so much as touch the orb. But, there are things you do not know."

"When I made this orb, I didn't just recreate my magical abilities; I had to recreate my very essence. Incidentally, this also meant that, in the event of my death — which, thanks to Gray's thoughts, I know of — that I would, in a way, survive, and continue my plan. "

"But, there has been... a change, in that plan. I have a... subtle control over Gray. As soon as he touched that Orb, I achieved a level of subliminal guidance over his actions. Not enough to stop his plan, mind you; there is only so much you can do about madness. But, once this is all said and done, I will be able to guide him, retaining as much order to this world as I can. Mind you, innocents will still die, but instead of a chaotic no-man's land, as Gray would surely want, there shall be a new kingdom. It will start in America, but in time, it will engulf the rest of the globe."

"Still... this all could have been avoided if Mr.Sunday hadn't killed me. You tell him that."

And with that, Arc found himself blasted away from the orb, landing right in front of the other immortals. But just as that occurred, a woman with long, black hair, in a black dress, came running down the steps, yelling only one word.

"ARC!"

"...Mum?" Arc's head was aching and his vision was blurry, but he could've sworn he heard her voice.

But no, no time for that. Ignoring the pain in his head he turned to the others in the room, hastily trying to explain. "It's Odin, he's still- a part of him still exists in that orb. He's taken over my father, uh, Gray, he's controlling him. He wants to control the new world." Arc didn't mention Odin's comment about John. As hopeless as the current situation seemed he still thought it'd been the right thing to do.

"Arc!", the woman again yelled, rushing from the stairs over to the others. "Are you—"

She was about say, "Are you alright?", but she stopped, noticing in full the sight of Gray, the orb, and the both of them covered in such immense power. And then she thought back to what she seemed to had heard just a moment ago. "Oh no...", said Sareena.

At that moment, another quake occurred, longer and louder then the last; the force was enough that various tools and devices found themselves knocked off their shelves to the ground below. After that, Sareena simply slumped down to the floor, looking down at the ground below her knees. "This... this wasn't what we wanted...", she murmured to herself. "This..."

She was still for a moment or so, before looking back at Gray. "Damn you, Gray...", she whispered.

She steadily rose up again, and turned towards the others. "Judging by that knife stuck in my husband's throat, as well as... what I witnessed upon coming down here actually, I can assume you've all already tried everything you can to stop this madness?"

"Yes,", said Aurora, "I think so. If we had more time, I'd surely be able to come up with something; bombing the whole building, perhaps. But—"

"But you don't have the time," said Sareena, putting her palm over her face for a moment, thinking to herself. She then made a quick glare at John, seeing as his actions were, even unknowingly, a chief catalysis for what all of them been led to, but she said nothing about it; there were more important things to tend to.

"Listen, all of you," she said. "Of us all, I'm the one who knows this situation best. And unfortunately, I can only think of two options, given the amount of time available to us — I'd say, ten minutes, at best. Now, we can't attack Gray, because he and Odin will just blast us away. Same goes for trying to control it. We can't kill him now — perhaps later, but that would unfortunately be after he rent the world asunder— because all of that energy would be released. If we mess around with the disc, then all of that energy will be released as well."

"So then,", she continued, now looking hard at the group, "our options are as follows; escape, or die. What do you all choose?"

Look before you say anything I know that I probably won't be able to make this situation any better, but I refuse to leave before doing all I could." Samuel walked towards the orb. If what they said was true then he could do nothing, but if he didn't try he would always regret it. Death would never let him rest from his regrets. If the orb killed him then at least he could tell his maker that he had tried.

Samuel slowly walked towards the orb, hoping that, perhaps, there was another way out of this situation, and that perhaps, if he controlled the orb, he could do something. But...

"Arrogant whelp," said the voice from the orb, as soon as Samuel touched it. Samuel suddenly found himself in terrifying pain, surrounded in sheer energy from the orb. "Touch this orb again, said the voice of Odin, "and you may discover that there's more then one way to kill an immortal." And Samuel thus found himself blasted straight off the orb, right into a wall.

Samuel fell to the floor with a large thump. He slowly picked himself up breathing to ease the pain. It hurt, he could flee with the others. If he fled he left seven billion people to die. Seven billion faceless people, he could bear them dying, but the fact that he might have played a role in their deaths did not roll well with him. He didn't want to die, but it might be the only way, "Can this 'thing' be reasoned with?"

Sareena was about to tell Samuel, once again, that there was simply no hope, but something he said caught her attention...

'Can this thing be reasoned with?'

"...I can try." Sareena then ran over the orb, placing her hands upon it. "Father!", she yelled. "I wish to speak with you!"

"Ah, Sareena," said the voice, "my devoted daughter. Come to rejoin us?"

"Just the opposite," she said. "I intend for you to stop this madness! This isn't what you raised us for."

"I am sorry," said Odin, "but Gray is the one who started this recent turn of events. I can only do so much as to reduce the potential violence that he would inflict."

"...Really?", said Sareena, with a quizzical look on her face. "Can I speak to Gray?"

"I am sorry, but he is currently incapacitated at the mo—"

"You can communicate between our thoughts," Sareena snapped back, "why not his?

The voice remained silent, and then resumed again soon after. "As you surely have seen, Gray cannot be reasoned with. He is simply too—"

"I've heard enough," said Sareena, who promptly removed her fingers from the ob, and walked away, back towards the rest of the group.

"I tried," said Sareena to the others, "but I didn't have much luck. Odin's in even more control of the entire situation then we realized; while Gray may have started this cataclysm, Odin is unwillingly to let anyone else communicate with Gray, and Odin himself will not budge. I assume that Odin may be thinking that, now that his original plan failed, that Gray's recourse is the best available option. He was only willing to show restraint once. As far as he's convinced," she continued, "we all had only one chance at that... and by killing him, we blew it." She then glared at John for a moment, before rescinding her gaze.

She turned back to Samuel. "If it makes you feel any better, — though I strongly doubt it will — Gray and Odin won't destroy the entire world, nor kill off it's vast population. If there's no people, then there's no kingdom to rule. But, that's not what is important right now, for us anyway. So... what's your decision? What do you all say?" She looked around at the whole group as she said those last few sentences...

Then the rest of the world will unleash their nukes — but Odin and Gray can just stop them in mid-air, and deactivate them harmlessly. But in any case, they's nothing we can do in 10— make that 6 minutes now. We've been talking too much."
