We have another thread for general discussion about the 2011 Holiday sale and the people with stuff to trade get lost in the general discussion. Hence this topic. Feel free to use it for normal Steam trades as well.

Please keep all discussion to trading and not whatever else is going on in the sale.

For those who are not familiar with the holiday sale, non-gold coupons can not be used until Jan 2nd (and only on games released before Jan 2nd) and each piece of coal is an entry into the raffle.

Why? If there is someone who just glances down the list and is wondering what the "coupons" are about, I just want to provide a simple explanation.

And I think the "coupon" qualifier is necessary to make sure people know that they can't be used right away. (fairly self evident if you are flowing the other thread, but I just want to avoid confusion)

I will add another line that this is for all trades, not just sale related ones.

Yeah, the coupons won't be a hot item till after the sale. That is when you are supposed to give them to you friends so that they are likely to buy the games. They will even get the games at a discount!

Sure, one question though: how exactly do you trade the games on Steam? Can't seem to find any instructions on how to do so at the site. Keep in mind, I actually bought the game for myself at first so the issue might be that I'm not supposed to trade games I already own, only "gift purchases".

We have to be friends first. My Steam ID is arkiandruski. Add me as a friend.

Also, we may have to wait a bit until the servers on Steam stabilize.
