Should I holler for a single prop on whether or not to cut this, or should we make a crowner with all possible courses of action?
I personally think we should decide on whether or not this belongs here in the first place before we decide on how to fix it.

Put me in motion, drink the potion, use the lotion, drain the ocean, cause commotion, fake devotion, entertain a notion, be Nova ScotianAlrighty. Hollering for a single prop.
I believe we should move Nightmare Fuel off-site instead of trying to fix it for the following reasons.
- Although we document audience reactions as a secondary purpose, this reaction is so inherently personal that it may as well be (and often devoles into) Troper Tales, which we agreed we don't want any more.
- For something that has so little value to wiki, it generates a lot of Sinkholes We don't need or want people telIng what personally scares them in main.
- There is no reason it cannot happily exist off-site. Those who enjoy it can do so somewhere else.
I've hooked a "remove" crowner. Whether this means it will be moved off-site in the event of a cut can be determined later.

"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartGo for it.
Pros would be:
- Causes problems despite having little relevance to our mission.
- Devolves into Natter, This Troper, and generally bad formatting.
- It's removal may encourage people to look for actual horror tropes instead labeling everything scary Nightmare Fuel.
Cons would be:
- It hasn't been determined whether it would be moved on a different wiki afterwards.
How hard would it be to take this stuff off-site anyway?

Pros and cons mentioned.
Just to be clear before we vote; this is only applying to Accidental Nightmare Fuel and not the HONF one?
That's what the crowner says.
Maybe once this crowner has resolved we can do a new one for High Octane Nightmare Fuel in its own thread.

"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartAnd yet if you'd asked the fans to defend their votes, they wouldn't have been able to. For all we know, they want to keep the page for Bile Fascination.
Now that's not exactly fair, it sounds more like you're being a sore loser here (I voted to cut this and expand HONF btw). Simply put they voted to keep it, what their reasons for are irrelevant, we just deal with what we've been given.
So, what are our options for ANF?
How about we first wait for a few more arguments from the people voting against cutting it?
"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartAccidental Nightmare Fuel serves no purpose beyond writing about how something scared you as a kid. I think it may be a good idea to throw Accidental Nightmare Fuel into the Troper Tales wiki, since that's what it really is.
Then do the same to High Octane Nightmare Fuel. If that one were kept while Accidental is gone, edit wars would arise over whether or not something was deliberately intended to be scary.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!![]()
Again, the crowner rejects that idea. ANF stays, which means we have to honestly do what we can to make it work (and for the record, I voted for cutting it).
So for starters that means cleaning it up to remove deliberately scary examples (which I've done for Mortal Kombat 9 and Video Games) and find some way of cleaning up the natter.
Here's some ideas;
- Cut examples, keep the description.
- Lock it like the CM page is going to and make all new entries get vetted through the forums before being added (that should keep the "accidental" part in check, since a few moments intended to be scary keep winding up on the pages)
- Limit it to the best examples possible as a demonstration of the trope.
Crown Description:
Vote up for yes, down for no.

In any case, we have a variety of options now. Should we go with a crowner to decide which of them to pick?
