"Yeah, Kourin! Map time!" Marisa said, turning back towards Rinnosuke. Of course she had a map, she had all the weird outside world stuff. If Rinnosuke didn't have a map, then Marisa was going to see how much she could steal from inside her clothing. Clearly, that was the only logical response.
"Ah... one moment, Hakurei-san, Kirisame-san," Rinnosuke replied, reaching into her pouches and rummaging through them, in search of a map. She was sure she'd brought one...
Jinjako continued to cling to Reimu. She seemed to have a death grip on the shrine maiden.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up.""Well, you'll just have to handle it for now" Aya told the tenticled girl as she complained about the weight of the coat, keeping their true form hidden was far more important than comfort. when the tengu looked back up she that Shok's question as to where the two others have gone was unanswerable, as they had simply disappeared. Either they were far better hiders than she gave credit or Fate has taken the time to remove them from the path. And by Fate, Aya meant Yukari. At least that snipped one loose end.
Speaking of loose ends, the talk of a map from the others reminded the reporter that there was something else that needed to be disappeared. She looked back to her wings that jutted out of her body like two black flags. It would do them no good if she attracted the attention of everyone around them. Thankfully she had a trick for that. Holding one of her hands she chanted a few words, and a her wings slowly began to waffer until they disappeared into thin air, even the holes in the back of her sweater gone. It was a neat illusion she had learned, since her job of choice sometimes required visiting the human village, and not drawing attention there was beneficial too (though for different reasons). It wasn't foolproof, since the wings were still psycially there, but so long as no one tried to pat her on the back she'll be fine.
The rest of the group was now troubling Rinnousuke for a map, and Aya decided to join in on the fun. "Are we sure we want to trust a map from the antique dealer? It might be older that miss white hair"
Sometimes I even amaze myself. Currently: Nice and sneaky like"Do you have any idea on where to look?" Heitaro spoke, shifting his gaze from the door to the girl nearby known as Shujiko. "Tokyo is pretty damn big and there's only the two of us... wait.." he stopped himself, his eyes darting up and then back down to the will Youkai.
"There are more of you, aren't there? I mean... more people you've brought with you."
"Yeah, there is," Shujiko nodded in confirmation. "Wonder if they're worried that I've been gone for a while...?"
The will youkai merely shrugged this thought off and continued, "Wouldn't know where to look, though. I've never been to this place. Or actually heard of Tokyo, so..."
It was funny how stress relieving it was to fly, Elly thought, touching down on some random roof. Sure, she'd most likely freaked the humans out, but she wasn't in the mood to care. Too busy wondering how she was going to complain to Yukari for all this unnecessary trouble. 'Representative' did not mean she was willing to cross a boundary without her master!
...Not that she needed someone to hold her hand, though! She just had no idea where to go, and Yuuka was far more likely to figure this place out. Hm... yeah, maybe it was best to return to the shrine? It wasn't like she'd found Mima or any villains in this place...
Although, she may have a little bit of trouble staying low now. Okay, starting from now, Elly was going to think her actions through.
Rinnosuke narrowed her eyes, frowning, and withdrew a map a few moments later. It was not, in fact, older then Mokou. It was probably only a year old, if that. She unfolded it and straightened it out. "Now... ah... Hm."
It had all kinds of differently colored lines, labeled with different names.
"Kourin, are you gonna take all day?" Marisa asked, folding her arms.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."Kamui, ever the person looking for fun, had lately seen a particular celestial engaging in shenanigans. Apparently, that crazy girl from the Hinanawi family who seemed to have fun causing earthquakes for shits and giggles had gone down to Gensokyo once again, and one thing she had assured herself is that, wherever the Hinanawi girl went, there was fun or was going to be.
And so, the dragon pup slipped away from her retainers a while later and followed the celestial's trail down to earth, pinpointing the last place she had certainly been at as that pathetic shrine ran by a second-class shrine maiden that loved to solve everything with violence. A weird place to search for fun stuff to do, but then again, she didn't question Hinanawi's ability to search for entertainment. She tended to get involved in awesome things, after all.
With a smile on her lips and without caring about hiding her horns or scaly tail this time, little Kamui set her feet on the wooden floor right at the entrance of the shrine, then opened the door and came in.
"Greetings! Is anyone there? Does somebody mind if I come in?" Said the little dragon with a cheerful tone.
"Suffer a vicious person and you will fear vice. Suffer a virtuous one and you will soon loathe virtue itself." Tony DuvertAs Rinnosuke pulled out the map and began to look over it, Aya maneuvered to the side of the shopkeeper, getting a little too close for comfort, to study the Map for herself. It was different from any maps she has seen before, the different colored lines going all over the place. "Are those roads?" Aya asked as she pointed out the lines, though the shopkeep probably knew as much as the tengu did, which was not much. That didn't stop her from bombarding the poor girl with annoying questions. "Why are they all named like that? Are any of those near us? What do those symbols mean?" This could take a while
Sometimes I even amaze myself. Currently: Nice and sneaky like"I don't mind, I could use the company," Yukari answered, having by now considered inviting Kanako over and seeing whether they could set up some sort of New Year's celebration for youkai and humans. The ghost and scientist kidnapped borrowed earlier had been immediately send over to Yuuka to make up for having deprived her of a servant or any company for the day, so the blonde youkai was all on her own by this point.
As Rinnousuke tried to make sense of the bit of paper, the shrine maiden was busy trying to get the girl clinging to her like a limpet to slacken her grip. She didn't need this much extra mass if it came to danmaku! It would be like trying to dodge if somebody had made her Marisa's size; it'd be a disaster waiting to happen.
Mokou... seemed really, really bored of waiting, having devolved into juggling fireballs right next to something as flammable and easily destroyed as this shrine. Reimu wouldn't be pleased, when she noticed—if she could spot it over the chaos being made as Shokushuko joined in with trying to see what was on the map, in her case sort of upside-down.
""...They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness unto a people that shall be born, that he hath done this." Now, my congregation, if you will please turn to psa-"
"Um... Maria-onee-sama?"
The nun looked up from her Bible, and gazed at her assembled congregation. Well, the one girl who had shown up for today's sermon, at least. It was a rather disappointing showing, but she'd long since learned to take what she could get, seeing how small the Christian community in Gensokyo was.
Three. Including Maria herself.
Well, sometimes there was a much larger showing than that, but usually they just turned out to be there for her, and ended up being put off ever returning after a long lecture on the sin of lust. Oh, and occasionaly that blonde youkai always running around in a crucifix pose showed up, although the last time it was just to try and eat the confessional. Maria still hadn't gotten around to fixing those bite marks... Well, it could have been worse. One of those heathen gods could have showed up again to flaunt their blasphemous ways, or worse still, that horrid, sapphic witch might have returned.
Sometimes she felt like the Lord was testing her.
"What is it, child?" she asked calmly.
"Well, um... I'd really love to stay here and listen to your sermon, but..." the girl rubbed the back of her neck awkwardly. "It just doesn't feel right when it's just me here, ahah!"
"Ah, that is not true. Whether it be for one or one hundred at a time, the word of the Lord is for all to he-"
"And I, um, kinda wanted to go to that bake sale the Moriya shrine were having today," she admitted sheepishly, trying not to look the sister in the eye. "I think that's where Jiro-kun is, too, so, um..."
The girl jumped in fright as Maria loudly shut her Bible rather suddenly. "If... If you so wish, then... I will not keep you, my child..." The nun trembled ever so slightly, but tried to keep a smile on her face as she let the girl run off to the heathen shrine on the mountain. As soon as she had left the church, she sighed loudly. "Oh Lord, what did I do wrong?"
She sat down in one of the makeshift pews and sighed again. All she wanted to do was preach the Lord's word and bring faith to this blasphemous land. She just wanted to inspire those around her to accept the Lord God and Jesus Christ as their saviours, as it was meant to be. Where did she keep going wrong? Perhaps she should organize her own bake sale some time...
Well, there was one thing she could do. One thing that she was sure would increase her flock's size. She just needed to get out there and bring the Lord to the people! She couldn't just sit inside her church and wait for them to come to her. And she knew just where to start...
And so, after grabbing a good handful of pamphlets, she headed out to the Hakurei shrine. Reimu always loved hearing her talk about the Lord, after all. At least, that was what she kept telling herself...
However, when she reached the shrine, she found that Reimu was nowhere to be seen. After looking around for a bit, she didn't find anyone, and was just about to leave when she noticed a strange blonde woman she'd never met before hanging around the shrine grounds.
Well, it's not Reimu, but I'm sure she'll want to hear about how great God is, she thought, heading towards the woman and pulling out a pamphlet. "Greetings, my child! Has anyone told you about a man named Jesus Christ?"
"Names? They're-uh, wait, um, I think they're roads-wait, you-" Rinnosuke stumbled over her words as she tried to reply. Aya was asking her far too many questions, far too quickly for her to give adequate responses.
Marisa watched with a great deal of amusement. How many people did it take to figure out an outside world map? More then three, it seemed...
Jinjako clung tight, unwilling to be dislodged.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up.""Everybody wait!" Panko exclaimed to the handful of people around her...even if she needed to or not. Now that she had the floor...
"What were we talking about again?" Panko said. "It feels like it's been so long I can't even remember"
don't worry she'll notice elly and childishly rush off to see her.

Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.((Sorry guys..But I may not exactly be on here very often..or at all, really...I have been busy with school, I am preoccupied with other stuff, and my mind just isnt as sharp as it used to be.))
Kingdom Hearts RP of my own. Enjoy.Kamui blinked as she heard a voice. From the tone and the disposition, it seemed that the blonde youkai that slept most of the time had taken residence in the shrine. That rised some very critical questions, mind it. Namely, where had the shrine maiden gone, and what was going on that had caused her to go away and make it so instead Yukari was inhabiting the shrine.
Part of her brain warned her that getting close to such a devious, whimsical being could spell doom for her. Nevertheless, Kamui was in need of some company, herself. She had followed the trail of the celestial in hopes of finding something, anything at all, to get rid of the monotony of heaven, even if for just a little while, so she ignored the warnings of her conscience and accepted that seeking the company of such an unpredictable being was a necessary risk.
"You are the youkai of boundaries, right? That blue haired celestial kept talking about you and some other people when she came back after all that earthquake ruckus she caused in Gensokyo." The dragonette smiled and looked at her with wicked eyes. "I have to admit that, while she said you were quite the looker, I wasn't expecting such a sight when thinking about your appearance. It's a pleasing surprise."

"Suffer a vicious person and you will fear vice. Suffer a virtuous one and you will soon loathe virtue itself." Tony Duvert"Oh? The silly girl has been telling people about me? Maybe I should talk to the oni and see about paying her a visit," Yukari replied, cheerfully welcoming the dragon in. Then the nun arrived, for some reason, and started going on about that Western god. In a Shinto Shrine, when there were some gods over on top of the mountain proving that they existed. What a strange choice... all the moreso given that some of the villagers had gotten the gap youkai confused with the shrine's gods.
Silly people, she didn't want their worship.
"Christ? This girl appears to have come from Heaven, maybe you should ask her if she's met him."
"Same here" Panko said.
Upon looking up, she noticed a little moving glint in the corner of her eye. A tiny, small entity moving in a arch in the sky.
"HEY!" Panko shouted needlessly, "What's that?" Panko noted.
Panko, acting like the child she was and moved into the sky towards fast, the green haired ghost moving towards whatever she was looking at.
Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.Nazrin sighed. She decided that she didn't quite like being paired up with this many impulsive people, two of which had run off the first time they saw something shiny. It was like working with her rats except without having any real authority or control over them. Also, they were less cute.
Forever liveblogging the AvengersWhen Tenshi had slipped down from the heaven to the land of the mortals to find something to assume herself, she did not do so unnoticed by others. Following the celestial through the clouds was Iku Nagae, who had spotted the blue haired girl during her observation of the weather. Remembering the last time miss Hinanawi had graced Gensokyo with herself, Iku could not allow her to roam unattended. She should report to the palace first, but she did not want to lose her, and most likely she'd be the one sent to get her anyway. It was better to get her now than follow the path of destruction later.
But sadly she had lost the girl somewhere in the forest outside the human village, near the Hakurei shrine. She could not feel her presence, as if she had disappeared from the world. Whether it was a trick or something had happened to Tenshi, Iku was worried of what it could mean. But if she had disappeared, the shrine would be the best place to find something.
Touching down at the shrine steps, she looked inside to see if the Shrine maiden was there, or if she was lucky that Tenshi was simply visiting the poor girl. But inside was neither of them, instead it was two others that Iku knew. One was Yukari Yakumo, a powerful youkai she had the misfortune of meeting who always has a mysterious and cunning atmosphere around her. And Kamui, who seemed to have once against slipped out of the palace. Now there was two people she was going to have to baby sit.
Ignoring the adolescent dragon for now, she looked over to the blond youkai. If there was anyone who'd have an idea what was going on, it's her "Excuse me, miss Yakumo, but have you seen Tenshi? I fear she has left heaven again"
Rinny was proving to be ineffective at any kind of answer making, though perhaps loading her down with several question might have been over doing it. But at least it was funny to watch the shop keep fumble. With Shok added to the brain trust they should be able to figure out where to go, or know at least enough to wing in.
"Well, do you at least know where we are?" She asked the shop keep, looking around to see if could see the landscape connected to the map, and spotted Mokou playing with fire. That human was really pushing her luck, wasn't she? "Hey, you want to be able to get back to your tsundere act with the lunar? Then don't burn down our route home"
Sometimes I even amaze myself. Currently: Nice and sneaky like"Tokyo is a large.. very large city filled with many different kinds of people. Looking for your friends..." the Hollow Youkai stopped his words and looked Shujiko in the face. A thought popped into his head. "Can you tell me about your friends or... their interest?" the boy didn't normally care about this stuff but right now, it was important.
"Eh?" Shujiko was taken aback by the question. Talk about her friends? Well, if she had too... Heitaro said it was important...
"Well... Mokou likes the princess... the princess likes Mokou... Lady Suwako likes her descendant..." Shujiko began, beginning with the basic stuff, which eventually spread into detailing each and every one of their hobbies and activities, as well as what she knew of what they did on a day-to-day-basis, which then segued into how unbelievably awesome and kind and bad ass and beautiful an powerful they all were. It didn't look like she was going to stop any time soon.
Elly turned her head in the direction of some voice, unable to identify it. It was hard to tell, but it looked like something was heading her way. A green haired ghost?
Elly immediately raised her scythe, a hint of fear in her eyes. She was screwed if this was... no, wait, this ghost looked nothing like Mima, what was she scared off?
The gatekeeper didn't lower her scythe, though. Chances were it was some random idiot. Better be prepared for an attack, just in case...
Panko saw the pretty girl's scythe as she got closer.
"A shingami? Here?" Panko thought, even thought she hasn't even taken the time to see what this "here" actually is.
With that her mind began to process what her next action should be, and her track record with fighting Shingami...
"But this is a different shingami. I could totally take her! And as long as it's danmaku and I doesn't kick this one between the legs, it should be safe right? "
She dashed towards Elly, unleashing a spray of danmaku to open up this duel.

Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.

"It's all heavy! Umm... where did the two people go?" Shokushuko asked, getting distracted by the conspicuous lack of a ghost and a sailor/scientist as she spun around. Well, that was weird, they'd been there a minute ago. Where had they gone? Abducted by Yukari, of all things, as it turned out. Well, she wanted people to help keep her company... and she couldn't drink all of Reimu's tea by herself. Besides, she'd never gotten to talk to Chiyuri back during that incident, she'd been asleep, and she wanted to hear what the other world was like...
Reimu sighed, awkwardly putting on her shoes whilst the shrine youkai clung to her. Why did people ever decide to have children? It just made things so difficult. Well, it wasn't like she could just throw her away, that would be mean. "Morichika, have you got a map on you?"
It was a given that Rinnousuke was the most likely person to have a map.
"Are we nearly ready to go somewhere, yet?" Mokou asked, looking back in the shrine and frowning.
