[up] Yeah the "no Emmy for Dee Baker" deal pissed me off. David Tennant got one for ten lines of dialoge, but the guy who has single handedly created dosens of easily recognisedable personalities with his voice, for people who all sound the same, wasn't even nominated? Bull****! Now don't get me wrong, Tennant was awesome, but his role in the series really wasn't nearly important or significant enough to warrant an Emmy.

I'm pretty certain he was talking about Maul, in response to the question "what was Maul doing up there when Obi-Wan was hanging from the ledge" that immediately precedes it.

Yes. That was a response to

I do remember Darth Maul using Force push on Obi Wan just fine. Heck, he could have just ended the fight right there if he used the push once more instead of...whatever the hell he was doing when Obi Wan was hanging.

He was narcissistically posturing. Walking back and forth menacingly, showering sparks on Obi-Wan for no reason, basking in how badass he presumed himself to look. If the movie had been made in the present day, he'd probably have been in the middle of taking a selfie when Obi-Wan leapt over his head and bisected him.

I didn't even realize that was all one voice in that episode (or that it was Dee Bradley Baker, a man who is practically Frank Welker 2.0). That's actually really awesome.

Also, the first airing of it totally got away with saying "What the hell". Of course, they edited it out of future reruns.

Yeah, I noticed that too xD The premiere movie also had Rex saying "Damn".

I forgot to see the premiere movie when it came out. I just hopped into the TV series all "yay, Star Wars!", and I didn't even know who the other Jedi were or who wasn't Obi-Wan or Anakin or Yoda or the Sith. I did know that it kicked ass.

Unfortunately, I stopped watching it when I largely began to stop liking Cartoon Network's move to live action (blegh). One of my friends is a huge Star Wars nerd, so she's trying to get me to watch it again. I probably will.

It's up on Netflix if you have that. Or at least, in some countries it is.

I'll probably watch it soon. My college classes start back tomorrow, though, so I'll have to find time.

Plus, I need to finish watching a couple animes I'm watching at the same time.

Just a word of caution. The first two seasons are in Anachronic Order. Some people like that but I got a bit annoyed with it so I watched them in chronological order. If you decide to do that there's a handy guide on our recap page for the series.

I prefer chronological order. I'll use that guide.

I also dropped off when Season 2 started, though that was less because of the show's quality and more I just got...bored, with TV I guess? XD

I probably will too. I was wondering about that. The first couple episodes started with a recap, which seemed really odd. I just figured it was the show's version of the rolling text from the films, where they explain to you all the background stuff that set the stage for this one and then leap straight into the action.

I ended up making the dumb decision to watch Nickelodeon when it was knee deep in Season Rot Sponge Bob...

I should add that I had no taste at the time.

I was thinking about a TFA theory namely the Rey is Anakin's reincarnation one, and looking for clues I google translated "anikan" which is how Anakin's name appeared in very early drafts of the first film. And apparently "anikan" means "belonged" in greek. Anyone from Greece around here to confirm this?

I just want to ask have there been any evil schemes in the Star Wars universe aside from "building a giant planet killing gun" and "Kill the Jedi"?

Surely, there has to be some variety to the number of plans concocted by the evil geniuses of the Star Wars galaxy.

It's spelled "Annikin" in the first draft.

[up]Ah okay, I wasn't a 100% sure about the spelling either, just forgot to ask. So much for that.

[up][up][up]Well, there was that time Revan tried to prepare the Republic and the Jedi for war only to be hijacked by the more generic Malak wanting to rule the galaxy.

Is there anything akin to a Magic Eater in the Star Wars universe?

Something that hunts down Force sensitive individuals, regardless of faction affiliation.

He was called the Lord of Hunger for a reason.

Different guy.

Nihlus was a Turian spectre. The Sith lord that ate planets of Force Sensitives was Darth Nihilus.

Speaking of the game but my head canon is still that Atris was very gay and Kreia possibly was.

Such a shame he had to be regulated to Legends status.

There's also the main plot of the Legacy of the Force series where the Galactic Alliance is embroiled in a massive civil war, then the X-wing novels that take place during the first Galactic Civil War in general, and more stuff like that. If it's not something about the Sith or big dumb superweapons it's something to do with a war being fought.

History in the GFFW is way too repetitive.
