Ial cleared his throat after a brief moment of silence. "In any case, shall you be attending Sanderson's party then?"
The fae sorceress chuckled and lightly pat Clarice on the head. "I knew I could count on you; should we head over to Whitebolt now then?"
Book followed Karen and Bat out of the bathroom, floating by the woman's shoulder without a peep.
"Nothing in particular comes to mind," Luceid told Marcus - after all, she wasn't much for conversation.
"Alright, perfect. Now if you please sit still in the holding area for a while... the mage from Whitebolt we contacted shouldn't be long now" says the female guard to Traxxar.
"Feel free to talk with him, Blode. I'll see you soon, hopefully with a criminal in irons" says Alexandra.
"Hmmm... not much... but I shall ask around. I'll get you a list of names and where you might find those bearing them" says the Old Orc.
"Too idealistic? Says the guy who calls himself Justice and hunts the night for criminals" Teases Ara.
Aisha rolls her eyes but she nods her head at Chandri's words "Alright, alright, got it. Hell, if you don't point and tell me 'kill him' I won't even more at all"
"The boring woman? A cage?" Asks Karen with concern as she walks back to the kitchen.
"Lets go then" says Clarice with a wide smile before leaving some coins on the table and then standing up to go on her way.
"Ahh, so it's up to me then... very well, very well... then allow me to tell you a story about my good friend's lands of birth" says the Doge as he prepares to try and entertain Luceid and Johan with tales of fancy until the time to go to the party.
Felis
"Huh? What happened? Did someone die?" Felis asked. She hoped that that wasn't the case, but at the same time couldn't think of anything else that would cause someone to drop everything.
Nat
"Okay then, Miss. I'll be going now then," Nat said. She headed for the door, then stopped and turned to the man who brought her here in the first place. "Oh, didn't you say you would show me some things?"
Stuff happens. Post it here so we can laugh at you >=DBlode nodded.
"Pleasure doing business with you, Alexandra," she said, exiting the Chief's room. Her escort re-appeared, saluting. Blode waved, and indicated that she still had business in the Fort; the guard nodded and followed her while she first visited Alexandra's deputy, getting whatever information the guard had on the weapon smuggler from him, then went to the holding area.
She told the guard to keep his distance — no need to scare her informant — and waited in the shadows for Traxxar to appear.
"Ah, no real particular plans for the party this evening; mostly stopping by to see what's happening," Ial told El Jabali. "As for plans for this week, I don't believe anyone's really thought that far..."
Catherine followed the cheerful girl with a smile of her own as the two of them made their way to Whitebolt.
"...I'll allow it," Luceid said with a small sigh, as if knowing she didn't have a choice in the matter.
Mira waited in uncomfortable silence with her sister for Claire to return.
"Yeah...that's why I have to get out of this city...I'm scared the boring woman will find me otherwise!"
Diane finally reaches the fort. When she saw the guards outside, she called out "Hey! Am I allowed in! I'm looking for employment!"

Some people say I'm lazy. It's hard to disagree.El Jabali cracked his knuckles. "Perhaps you have not planned that far, but El Jabali has a fight tomorrow! El Jabali also has a dragon knight and an evil wizard to track down! You wouldn't know about a 7-foot tall knight with a pair of swords and a penchant for domestic violence, would you? Or an aging wizard with a knack for attacking his opponents' minds and a staff with a snake on it?"
"Yeah, while having a quiet bodyguard that doesn't even breathe sounds quite intimidating I don't think I could pull it off for more than five minutes" says Aisha with a lighthearted grin on her face.
Jared nodded his head, his expression looking just slightly grim "Indeed, the time on this world ran out for somebody. Worry not little kitten, as it was someone who led a full and happy life"
The guards did as Bode instructed and afforded her some privacy as they awaited for the mage to arrive.
And thus, Clarice and Catherine arrive in Whitebolt after their little walk "So, you want to get your post right away?"
Claire walked back a little while later, giving them a thumbs up which meant that Mira had a place to reside for the moment.
"This is a very big city and you are a very little dragon that can change forms! How is she ever going to find you?" Asks Karen.
A guard greets Diane and says "The Captain deals with the recruiting... you can go to her office by following that hallway"
I assume it's OK to flesh our smuggler out a bit.
Blode entered the room where Traxxar was held. She leaned on the wall opposite to the Gnoll.
"That's the deal, Gnoll," she said, curtly. "I am chasing this man."
She lifted the scroll she held. On it was sketched a man's face, long and pale.
"This is the weapons dealer known only as 'the Halberd's Point'. I am to capture or kill him. What I need is an underground informer — I don't want any of my other informers caught up in this. Working for the Guard... Anyway, serve as my informer, and they'll probably let you out on parole for the mission's duration, and perhaps even cancel the charges against you if the mission goes well and the charges aren't too serious. It's either that or rot here. Of course, you might accept the deal then try to escape, but then you'll feel just how painful a dagger in the back is."
She crossed her arms.
"What do you say?"
Amy smiled and stood from the pews. "Alright, Claire; please show Mira to her room. I'll be tending to the garden if you need me."
Mira watched her sister wander off through the back of the church before joining Claire. "Lead the way."
"Hmm." Ial paused for a moment, stroking his chin in thought. "Well, I don't know either of those characters personally - nor, from what you tell me, do I want to - but I have heard rumors of figures such as those. Well, perhaps more for the wizard than the knight. What do you wish to know?"
Catherine blinked. "'As soon as possible' would've been good for me, but that sounds good too," she chuckled.
"Alexandra told me there was an increase in smuggled weapon movements lately, for reasons unknown. The Guard does not know why. There's not much info on this guy, either," said Blode. "You'd better start at the beginning. Anyway, wait for a while while I talk with the guards."
She went toward the room's door. She opened it and spun around.
"You do not want to double-cross me, Gnoll," she said, and exited the room.
She nodded to the guards and headed back to Alexandra's office (her escort in tow once more). Once there, she knocked on the door again.
"It's diffrent in my case, I was one of them you know. Besides Justice is one of the Fingers you know, some followers of the Hand would probably be terrified that the incarnation of Justice is coming for them." Demin said "Do you have something to drink? My throat feels a little dry."
"Who has this party then?" Scyd asked her companion "And do they have a library?"

"Somewhere in his mid-twenties," Verrick answered. "I don't know how long he might have been here. I'm not even sure how he got here."
