Well, it was clear that Karen wanted to see it with that look, so without a word, a yellow bandanna appeared on his neck.
"So, what do you think of it?"
After the party was cancelled, there was no point of Diane sticking around as they wouldn't need her for security. Well, at least she got paid before the would be party, though now she has to wonder what the next job for her would be.
Than walking out the door he saw Am and Scyd rush off. He should probably apologize for her roughness earlier, yes she was only doing her job but both were on the young side. Still, the dragon girl seemed to be in a hurry so leaving her be might be better at the moment.
Some people say I'm lazy. It's hard to disagree."I like that name. It's strong, sounds charming courageous. Though it also sounds like a troll clearing his throat. So rejected. I might name my child that one day, though" remarked Aisha with a fair bit of humor in her face "So, have any more aliases for me?"
"Please, do enter"
Past the door Blode would find the chief of the Guard of Hercine. Alexandra Beaumont, the Mistress of Chains was silver haired but not due to age, but rather due to some magical ancestry someway down her family tree. She was still young, barely in her mid thirties and with an active lifestyle which kept her fit and truly alive. She had sharp blue colored eyes and was right now wearing her steel armor over the red cloth of the guard.
"Blode...? Truly a surprise to have you pay a visit"
"Hmm? Well, I suppose it does no harm" Says one of the guards as he nods.
Though his companion said "Though, we'll stay close to you. Would be bad if the sorcery which affected you caused you to attack your beloved or something"
"Hmm?"
That did give the old orc some pause. For the first time he turned to look at Verrick "Looking for your boy, huh? Why don't you tell me the full story"
"Aww, it's just the cutest thing, Bat!" Said Karen as she proceeded to hug the little dragon again "You should keep it on"
Damn! No space from her, and then what? They'd find Traxxar out, and then he'd be fucked! They would no doubt scan his mind for magical residue, or something, and then he'd be screwed! As he walked in, Traxxar spread his arms wide.
"Hey, there, it's my old friend! Man! It's been so long! I mean, lemme tell you," Traxxar turned to the guards, "We go way back. How was it we met? Oh, right. Back at Meridion." Dramatically posing, Traxxar said, "Please, Miss, ya gotta help me break out, I got 200 gold in my pouch and these guards here are total pushovers!"
Oh god, please understand it, please take it...
"You want me to keep the bandanna on?" asked Bat, staring at Karen "You mean for now or whenever I can?"
Diane was now wandering the streets of Hercine, wondering what she could do next. Maybe she should try hunting some bounties, that's what she did in the past...but none of them seem really that interesting. Okay, the one with the brown little dragon maybe and it did have 500 gold for it's capture but that just would have too much competition with how seemingly easy it is.
The dark-skinned woman than thought of another possibility, she did hear the Guard were low on employment recently. It would provide a stable area of employment and this city can get interesting at times.
Diane decided to walk to the headquarters of the Hercine Guard. It would take a bit of time getting there so she could just walk back home if she had second thoughts.
Some people say I'm lazy. It's hard to disagree.Blode entered the room, stopping at its entrance.
"Well-met, Alexandra, well-met," she said; she bowed her head as a sign of respect. "You do seem well."
She tilted her head and smiled*, intending to say something, but then she heard the commotion outside.
"I do beg your pardon, Alexanrda dear," she said and leaned back out. Once there, she found a Gnoll shouting at her. She squinted. Did she know him? Yes, that was the one that served as a bodyguard to a target a few years ago... That corrupt official, wasn't it? And he wanted her to break her out? Great mother, he was stupid. Shouting like that. Or desperate.
She went closer, till she was practically on him, and slapped his muzzle. Leaning to whisper in his ear, she whispered, practically in it so the guards won't hear, "I'll take a look later at the dungeons. I don't promise anything."
With that, she went back to back to the Chief's room.
"I do apologise," she said, "the prisoner your guards brought here is someone I met, once. He guarded a target a few years ago. Anyway, yes, I don't visit often, but I recently had an odd episode, and I figured that I've been without a job for too long. My usual contacts in Guildsmen are taking a break from their intrigues, but you might have something for me."

"Uhm... I don't know. I wouldn't want to be a bother to you guys.", the sprite said. "Besides, as far as I know there isn't anything wrong with the fountain. ...Or am I a bother there too?"
Felis
The young catgirl turned towards the source of the voice, then smiled as she saw a familar face. "Hello, Jared. Did you come to pick me up?" She wondered why Carbonara didn't pick her up in person, especially considering the fact that he was the sole reason she was dressed up like this in the first place. Then again, he might be busy or something....

Stuff happens. Post it here so we can laugh at you >=D"That would be wonderful. Thank you, Claire," Amy said to Claire with a smile. "Ah, you don't mind, do you, Mira?"
"..." Mira nodded. She felt a bit uncomfortable taking residence in a church... or maybe it was being with her sister after so long. But she wouldn't reject their hospitality.
"Of course, I'm sure there's arrangements I need to make, procedures I have to follow, and such," Catherine mumbled. "It'd be nice if I could just drop in, take up a room, no questions asked, but human bureaucracy..."
The fae sorceress cleared her throat. "Ahem. Though I'm sure you could help me with all that; right, Clarice?"
Ial smiled. "I am just a man with a vision. What I have heard though is that Vance Sanderson, the golemancer at Whitebolt, plans to start a party of his own in absence of the Westeilwell's."
"I see," Luceid told Johan while ignoring the Doge.
The female guard guiding Traxxar chuckled a little after that encounter "Gnoll love, I guess. Alright Casanova, if you'll come with me to the office now... we need to get your data and such"
The office was a small space which apparently was only used to get the data of those visiting, giving statements and getting detained. The male guard sat down and produced a sheet of paper and some writing utensils while the female guard remained standing.
"Alright then, we need to fill a form here. Your name, age, place of residence then your statement of what happened and such. Do you know how to read and write? Otherwise I'll ask you the questions and my friend here can write your answers down for you"
"I see, always business with you, eh Blode?" said Alexandra with a small grin before she crossed her fingers in front of her face "But still... yes, I do have a little trouble that could use some help"
"Someone was moving a whole lot of weapons in town... where to and what for? I have no idea. With some help the operation was stopped, but the brains of the operation walked away from the scene"
"Sounds like something that could interest you, Blode?"
"Whenever you can. It looks pretty cute on you" says Karen as she carries Bat out of the bathroom and into the living room.
"Hmmm it is a tad public... but if you feel comfortable there, we won't force you to relocate. Though I assure you, that I won't be a problem for us to provide a suitable place for you to stay should you want it" said the Archmage.
"Slight change of plans. Seems like something required Carbonara's attention... so he ran away pretty quick. Still, thankfully I was around to salvage the day. Though nobody said exactly what I needed to salvage. Might I hear the story of what got you in such a beautiful outfit, kitten?" said Jared as he stepped into the room.
[[I shall make preparations immediately]] Wrote Claire with a smile on her face before she set off deeper into the temple once again.
Clarice nodded her head "I know which people to bug for the room. And I'll help you fill as many forms as you need, Catherine!" said the little mage with a big eager smile on her face.
"Indeed" said Johan, remaining silent after that.
The Doge rolled his eyes as he found himself ignored, that right before letting out a sigh and lifting his arms up in defeat "Why, should I help the conversation get started again? Or is there anything you want to ask Johan here, my good Lady Luceid?"
At that Aisha chuckled "I've to date knocked silly like four different Sonya the Red. I think I'll be Sonya the Blue"
"Well, of course it's business," said Blode. "I won't take any of your time for an idle chat. You've more important things to do. As to this job: I take it you want this person permanently silenced? Or do you want me to hand him over to you? Either's fine with me... Although I don't usually keep my marks alive, I would enjoy the challenge."
On empty crossroads, seek the eclipse -- for when Sol and Lua align, the lost shall find their way home."Okay, I guess I'll keep it on for my stay!"
The words he just uttered, Bat couldn't help but think about them. He looked at the woman carrrying him straight in the eyes and transmitted "Hey Karen, I probably should say this now. I don't think I can stay in Hercine."
Some people say I'm lazy. It's hard to disagree."Of course I know how to write!" Traxxar replied. He truthfully filled out the paperwork, save the location. He paused writing and asked, "I have multiple residences, actually; what will this be for, contacting me?"
His safehouses needed to stay fairly secret, and knowing why they needed to know where he lived would be useful in case he needed to prep one of those houses for visits.
Verrick would never have given the full story to a human,or even most orcs, but somehow he felt he could trust this old man and if it turned out he couldn't he trusted in his skills and the hard earned gifts of the mage who had found him to get him out of trouble.
"You must know how hard it is for an orc to earn what humans call an hoest living, not to mention we and they have different ideas of what an honest living is. I won't go into details but just say I pursued a hard trade and met Gilea in the course of it. Meeting her changed my life and I abandoned that life. But it followed us and we lost each other. It was years before I found her again and when I did she was long dead but I learned I had a son and have been searching for him since."
Trump delenda estFelis
For a second Felis was silent, thinking about what could be the reason that Carbonara simply ran off like that. She figured it must've been something important, seeing as otherwise he wouldn't have left her hanging like that. Shortly after she realized that Jared was still waiting for an answer. "Hm? Oh! Well, uhm, Carbonara was supposed to take me to some kind of party. I don't know the details, but it's propably something fancy; otherwise he wouldn't have bought this beautiful dress for me, right?"
Nat
The sprite smiled. "Thank you, miss." She then fell silent for a second, trrying to think of anything else to say. "Uhm... Is there anything else you need to know, miss?"
Stuff happens. Post it here so we can laugh at you >=D"If you could drag him here alive I would appreciate it... Though don't get in danger doing such a thing. He has brought enough damage already. If it's necessary, don't doubt in using lethal force" replied Alexandra to Blode "I restrain myself and mine from eliminating criminals... however, you are not a member of the Guard"
"Alright then, you got yourself a bodyguard Chandri Oi. Don't you feel safer already?" said Aisha with a wide confident grin in her face.
"Huh? Why is that little Bat?" Asked Karen, deeply concerned.
"Contacting you, yes. In case we need to" replied curtly the male Guard.
"Regular procedure, you know. You should write the one where you live or where they are most likely to know where you might be at a given time"
"And you believe he is in Hercine... Can you give me age? How long since you think he arrived here? Any information can help narrow down the search" says the Old Orc, giving Verrick his full attention now.
"Huh? Oh the Boar. Yes I know about him... he's kind of rich and very famous in the fighting crowd" said Ara as she kept working "Why do you ask?"
"Ohh, that party. Now I know why he must have left... the party was canceled after a truly unfortunate turn of events. Carbonara must be with the family right now. Still, since you are dressed up already... I heard of another party I can take you to. That is, if you want to go to one and wouldn't mind the company of a humble rogue such as myself" said Jared with a grin.
"Not for the moment. If something comes up I do think I know where to find you" says the Archamage with a kind smile.
"Mm, okay." Traxxar replied. He leaned down to the paper and filled in the address of one of the hideouts closer to Hercine, then proceeded to write a simple fictionalized account; Traxxar made sure to write in a much more crude style than normal, and kept his phrasing simplistic and vague in his written account. No sense in accidentally screwing up your story. "There, that's got a mailbox I check fairly often and a statement of what happened."
Blode nodded.
"I assume the usual payment, upon providing proof of the deed," she said, obviously used to contracts like that by now. "I shall get the information from that deputy... I always forget his name, so sorry."
She bowed her head, and half-smiled.
"Anyway, I've a favour to ask," she continued. "An... informant of mine... might be visiting your cellars. May I go down and have a talk with him?"

Oh shit. Traxxar hadn't planned this far. He was in the middle of a fort, no backup, no real plan, and he was pretty sure the Guard would find no evidence of legitimate mind control.
Then he passed That Weird Lady, knocking on the Chief's door. He'd seen That Weird Lady before, never really spoken to her; their job had a tad bit of overlap, but they kept to themselves for the most part. He looked down at the guards escorting him, and saw the coinpurses on their waists. A plan formed at lightspeed—the girl killed people for money—Traxxar could escape if he had some support—the guards had money. Leaning down to one of his escorts, he whispered in the guard's ear, "Excuse me sirs, but that woman over there—she's a bit of a lost love of mine. Would you mind letting me surprise her with a reunion before she notices us?"
