Works for me, Taco. The most extreme method we could do is a blanket after-action report on the party, detailing the high points of each character's experiences there, but if people want to roleplay at the mansion that'll require divvying up the relevant Weinsteilweil characters to other players.
It's been fun.Because that is crappy, crappy etiquette and one of the most impolite things you can possibly do in an RP.
Here's an idea: Want to continue the RP? It rains. The party was mostly outdoors. Rain would ruin it. There.
And honestly, it's hard to continue in something that you no longer have interest in, so it'd be either this or just not posting again without warning.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."Superceded only, of course, by throwing a minor temper tantrum and threatening to withdraw until the events of the roleplay turn around your characters and minute specifications for the characters of others, then withdrawing anyway and forbidding anyone else to touch those plot-critical entities.
Look, I understand that people's interests shift, and I don't blame you for losing interest. What I do blame you for is this (honestly rather confusing) attempt to ensure that the roleplay doesn't continue after this blow.
Edit: Rain would also work.

It's been fun.... I'm not. I just gave you something you could do.
I don't want people controlling my characters or NP Cs connected to them. If it rains, the major reason people could need to(the party) doesn't happen.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."Should I have Hand Wave that or are willing to post something to that effect?
On empty crossroads, seek the eclipse -- for when Sol and Lua align, the lost shall find their way home.Considering it was previously very nice out, I figure we could even create an actual plot point aroun the rain, with characters trying to figure out why it's raining on such a nice day, and why no magic is working in dispelling the rain, since a kinetic barrier or druidic magic couldn't shield from or stop the rain, no fucking way.
Or you could just go with the completely normal attitude of 'let's not interfere with the weather'. Even if they've got nice weather 'cause of magic, everyone has to go through the bad weather first, hence low turnout. >.>
It is also quite possible to go from 'sunny' to 'raining' in half an hour. I'm used to its happening.
I'm not joking, I love spinning epic tales/explanations about weird/stupid plot contrivances. And hey, El Jabali and Verrick's mutual interest in such a happening could spur father-son adventure time, too!
Thanks for leaving the RP guys, this feels just like a classic Dn D game!
.*walks into the thread* ...What.

Stuff happens. Post it here so we can laugh at you >=DIf someone say "No, you can't control my characters, I don't care if I've left the RP", it means, "No, you can't control my characters, I don't care if I've left the RP".
They're my characters, and it's the same in Rain's case. Not yours. So no, you can't control them.
We've already left it, and given solutions so you don't have to be tied up with them anymore.
"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."Personally, I'd say that you should at least give us enough control over said characters to solve any remaining plotholes/plotlines involving them. For example, Felis is practically fully dependant on Carbonara at the moment; If Carbonara disappears from the face of the world, then she's stuck in the bathroom.
If you don't want us to create new storylines with them, fair enough, but at least give us that much.

Well, that was fun while it lasted. Good to see that it only takes two to stonewall, hamstring and then sink a roleplay of twenty people.
It's been fun.
