Yeah lets talk Bones.
I wish they'd do a flashback to see how Booth and Bones got together properly. I find it so frustrating they skipped all that and went straight to they-are-in-a-relationship.
"You want to see how a human dies? At ramming speed." - Emily Wong.David Boreanaz shouting at Stewie Griffin.
...oh look, a leather jacket and some jetskis.
I'm a skeptical squirrelSay, did you guys catch the first episode of Season 8 last night?
I certainly did. I'm becoming convinced that Christopher Pelant is becoming the show's equivalent of The Joker.
Why? Well, they catch the guy and Bones has been proven innocent. But...the guy has somehow changed his identity from American to Egyptian, and is being taken to Egypt! It feels like Diabolus ex Machina. On the other hand, I did have some doubts that they finally nailed him to the wall. That, and the bit about him wanting one of them to kill him was a pretty strong hint that he was going to come back. And what was up with that one guy taking the marigold out of the trash and taking it with him at the end? Is there a secret message of some sort?
Boy, they know how to start off a season with a bang, am I right?
Oh, Equestria, we stand on guard for thee! There was no way they were going to write out a villain like that so fast, right? Here's hoping it ends with Max taking him out sometime down the line, because he is one of my favorite Badass Grandpas.
Also, do not mess with Hodgins, who wins my personal Bones Badass Moment of the Week award.

I've heard speculation that the grey-haired guy who took the marigold out of the trash is in league with Christopher Pelant, or is intending to check it for DNA, because DNA is a surefire way to take down a bad guy. I don't know what to think myself!
Oh, Equestria, we stand on guard for thee! Before someone says something about necroing, let me just say this:
Yesterday was the bones/sleepy hollow crossover. I thought it was okay.
Eh. I hadn't even watched Bones in years (they're married with children now?), but I was still bothered by how, eleven years on, they just sort of casually prove Brennan's entire world view to be completely false in the context of her world...
That's what happens when you cross a show without supernatural elements into a show with them.
Actually it has had supernatural elements although of course not as frequent or as blatant as Sleepy Hollow. One episode had Booth trapped on a booby trapped ship and helped by the ghost of a dead comrade. He assumed it was a hallucination but then Brennan encounters the guy at the cemetery he was buried at, not knowing who he was. Another episode was viewed from the perspective of the dead victim of the week. And Cindy Lauper plays a recurring character who's a psychic and it's made clear that she's on the money more often than coincidence allows.

Trump delenda estI meant in a way that you couldn't write off as symbolic or Maybe Magic, Maybe Mundane.
So, who was the most interesting/intimidating/effective major antagonist the show had?
Wake me up at your own risk.
Can we try the Bones thread again? I want to talk, but it got locked.
