I went into these expecting some mediocre fan videos. What I got was absolutely brilliantly written, hilarious, and incredibly scary. This guy nails the jokers part like no one else. Also, oh god, the chapter where he says they are all rooting for me? That really creeped me out.
Go play Kentucky Route Zero. Now.This was pretty awesome.
Stiiiiiiiill waiting on Season 2...
Favourite parts? Mine is 'the entirety of BRB'.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableIt starts next month.
"Urge to thump... rising." -FighteerWell, finally...
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableThey shot the entire season before release. I think the wait is worth it if the haphazard release schedule of Series 1 can be avoided.
"Urge to thump... rising." -FighteerOh, that is a good sign.
Marble Hornets could benefit from that <_<
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableSeries II Episode 1 confirmed for May 4th, at 8:00 PM Central Standard Time.
"Urge to thump... rising." -FighteerWell, I don't know what happened, but it's May 5th now and there's still no Season II episode up.
Anyone who assigns themselves loads of character tropes is someone to be worried about.Technical difficulties. They apparently got it up, but You Tube wrecked the quality. They've been attempting a reupload since.

"Urge to thump... rising." -FighteerIt's a lot of fun, for a first episode.
Is it selfish that I'm happy as we pass the setting sun?Ohhh, interesting! Can't wait to see how this plays out.
"Urge to thump... rising." -FighteerYou can tell this is going to be good because only ten minutes into the new season we are already in the middle of a Gambit Pileup. 0_0
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableOkay, let me see if I have this straight so far.
(Spoilers!)
- Jeremiah Arkham wants to retake his family's asylum from Luthor. His further goals are unknown.
- Jonathan Crane (Scarecrow) is helping him, having been promised his old office back.
- Lyle Bolton (Lock-Up) is also helping him, presumably also in return for his old job.
- He hired Selina Kyle to seduce and kidnap Thomas Eliot, to perform surgery. The purpose of this is unknown.
- Scarecrow and Lock-Up raided police headquarters to obtain evidence files related to Arkham and Beaumont. The purpose of this is unknown.
- Lex Luthor wants to expand his corporate empire, and is in the middle of his Presidential campaign.
- Mercy is Luthor's aide, and has the difficult job of maintaining Luthor's good public image. (Mentioned because I like her. :3 )
- Harleen Kopski is the new director of the asylum. She wants to keep the Joker locked in her basement forever - err, not in that way.
- Pearl is Harleen's assistant and confidante.
- Thomas Eliot is trying to secure financial support from Luthor for his hospital, but has not appeared at the board meeting. Presumably this is on account of being detained by Jeremiah Arkham.
- Joker's plans are unclear (obviously) but entail escaping (successful) and winning the heart of Harleen Kopski. Armed with a spoon. Considered dangerous.
- Theodore Baer wants someone to kill him, which Joker has promised to do. Armed with a shotgun and a cake.
- Other
- Bruce Wayne (Batman)
- Andrea Beaumont (presumably Phantasm). The police had evidence files on her or her family, which were stolen by Lock-Up.
- Jack and Summer are currently trapped in an elevator with Lex Luthor, and are very much not enjoying the interview.
...am I forgetting anything?
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableWell, this was entertaining. Still, a lot of the plot relies on people being surprisingly vulnerable and confused by the Joker's behavior. Well, it's true that they don't have as many hours of exposure to his antics as us, the audience, but it would be nice if someone tried giving him a taste of his own medicine.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. What kind of medicine, exactly? Nolanverse Joker isn't really sensitive to scrutiny in the same way the DCAU Joker was. He wants to prove to the world that he isn't a perverse anomaly of the human condition. Anyone who has gotten to the point of trying to take him apart in the same way has proven to be just on the verge of following in his footsteps. The one time events proved otherwise decisively - the ferries - he bounced back remarkably quickly. His denial and egomania can take anything you can throw at him.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableYes, but has anyone tried laughing at him? Not insulting him, just laughing.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. It's hard to laugh at someone who strapped your wife to a bomb.
The threat of the Joker in the first sason was that he's actually physically threatening to most of the cast. He's a berserker psychotic; he's unhinged enough to do anything to win and he also seems to completely ignore or even possibly get off on pain. By the time he actually got dangerous, he had the upper hand on most of the people involved because, like a Slasher villain, he went out of his way to target civilians; people who can't defend themselves against a man like him.
The only part I had trouble buying was actually the shootout. The Joker spent way too long trying to get his shotgun up to shoot the cop; he would have been on the ground with two or three bullets in his center mass before he ever got a shot off. That kind of amateurish display is acceptable for a civilian, but is quite frankly embarrassing for any police or military character. Police are authorized to put you six feet under as soon as they see you draw a weapon.

My Tumblr. Currently liveblogging Haruhi Suzumiya and revisiting Danganronpa V3.I'm willing to forgive that for the sake of the hokey pokey. :P
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableWhen is the next episode supposed to be released?
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableApparently, there's been a setback with one scene in the second episode, with some props being lost in the mail. Beyond that, Scott and Andrew don't share all that much on production, so I don't know.
"Urge to thump... rising." -FighteerAfter a SEVEN month wait, episode two of Series 2.

...I'm going to have to rewatch Episode One so I remember everything that "just" happened <_<
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableIt's been a year since my last post. Huh.
It's also nice to have the second season up and running again.
What happens when you get someone dressed up like The Joker, depicting his time in Arkham Asylum after getting caught by the Police at the end of The Dark Knight, in the form of a vlog kinda deal? With surprisingly good effects, good actors and something that almost seems like Nolan himself wrote?
Why, The Joker Blogs, of course!
Seriously, this is surprisingly good and a LOT of fun to watch. The guy sounds and acts PERFECTLY like the Joker. (perfectly may be a bit of an overstatement, but he's GOOD.)
Is it selfish that I'm happy as we pass the setting sun?
