-She's not outwardly doing much-
-But her mind's racing-
-What can you do, here-
-You've fucked it up pretty good-
-You lost your cool-
-And for what?-
-You lashed out because you didn't know what to do-
-What did it get you-
-You've further entrenched an already existing problem-
-You've eroded someone's trust, probably-
-But the thing is-
-You have a job to do-
-You can't lose sight of it even for a second-
-And even if there are setbacks, you can't stop moving forward-
-Things will get better, most likely-
-You will fix things down the road, you will apologize and you will make things whole, even though there is no benefit to you-
-Sitting idly by while things deteriorate is a failure and you're not going to do that-
-You will not falter again, not like that-
-You're going to act properly, with resolution, forethought, grace, and dignity-
-You will find a way through this, though the way appears bleak-
-You will place your trust in others, and through your actions they will come to trust you-
-Things will mend-
-You will fix things-
-It's what she looked up to you for-
-And you will not abandon it-
-You won't abandon it because you're scared, or angry, or helpless, or alone, or bewildered-
-This is what you have to do, and you're going to do it-
-Dot looks up-
-She is still silent-
-And she isn't moving-
-But she doesn't need to, not now-
-She can do that later-

I'll be honest, I have no idea what I was doing. It was kind of like a baby grasping onto something before they understand that their fingers are a part of them.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?
