...
There was this thing. The Calamity from the Skies. I was a part of it, and then it took all of me... and then I took it back. And now it's a part of me. But... but I'm not that, I don't think. Not all the way. I can think again, by myself, so I'm not her. I don't know how it happened, though. I shouldn't be me anymore, but I am.
...
I was... it's hard to remember. I was... twenty... five? Twenty five, the last time we counted, and then... then some more years... twenty... twenty... something else, I don't know how many years it was, and then I ruined everything, and I need to be gotten rid of, but I didn't burn right, so I was stuck. Then it was... I don't know. They didn't know, either, when they found me. Four thousand and something, at least. And then there were others, the men wearing bodies, and then I went back, and then there were was another year...
I didn't think you'd come back. Everyone that comes to that place, everyone leaves, or dies. And almost nobody's left yet, not on their own or on accident, so it's just a matter of time before they die. I think it's going to be soon. They fight even worse than the last ones did, and they're stupid.

The storm blows over in about three hours, and then all of the people of Kejlras come out of the buildings and go about their business. The actual layout of the city is visible now; it's dominated by a lighthouse way in the distance, and a massive, ornate building as far away from the sea as it can get.

How do you make your skin go darker instead? I've seen people do it but I can't remember how.
