-Doc has an omnitooll! Hooray!-
-The Romans lead the Doctor's group to a town-
-It has no walls, and only the most meagre defences prepared-
-Only a few dozen soldiers can be seen-
-The sign on the road reads Verulamium-
-The Celts lead the others to their camp, several kilometers from the town-
-It is situated on the borders of the large and encompassing forest-
-If one looks carefully into the distance, they might see the smoking ruins of a town several more kilometers back-
-The Celts are clearly ready for the coming battle, sharpening weapons, singing battle hymns and bragging of their accomplishments yet to transpire-

What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?A siege. Or it would be. Like Londinium before it, the Romans are too weak to defend themselves. Too arrogant in their time of strength to wall their town. The garrison there is feeble. When we march tomorrow, it will be an easy task.

What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything? It is indeed. Fate is with us.
Yes, the collaborators. Those in Verulamium are some of the worst. So happy with Roman rule, so eager that they carry the cloth and citizenship. We arrived too slow. Most of its inhabitants have fled. Shame. Anyway, until tomorrow, this will stand as a place of rest and hospitality for you. You can explain what such an odd assortment like yourselves are doing stumbling unto the war of the ages to our leader soon.
-They enter the town and walk to the square-
-The coinflip of fate allocates Fen to the Roman group-
We'd better bring you up to speed if you are the auxiliaries. We've only had days warning. The omens are poor, and anyone who is willing and able to leave has done so already. The Legions to the north are too far to assist - the only one that remained was ambushed and decimated by the Iceni. Our garrison is made up of men who would be too old or young to battle in the best of times. This battle bades poorly.

What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything? The people of Verulamium received too much warning. It was much better in Londinium. The panic from the citizenry there won us the battle with ease. When we burn Verulamium, there won't be the same satisfaction.
-He leads the group to the main tent-
Who? Ha! You have not heard of the reputation of the ruler of the Iceni?
Speak, woman.

What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?Travellers, you stand in the presence of the Great Queen Boudica!
-Boudica
◊ emerges from the tent. She walks with a sense of authority, flanked by her guards-
Aodhán. Why are these strange men and women here?
I had hoped that they might answer, my queen.
The citizens are mostly fled. The garrison here has always been poor, but while Suetonius and the legions fight the druid in the north, it is all we have.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?

Just announcing my presence.
-Is with the Celts, having covered his wings with a cloak. This is about as convincing as you'd think it would be-
-Has hitched a ride on the Doctor's omnitool again-
