When he wasn't yelling at me and beating my ass over the way I wiped the countertop, he was teaching me how to fight. Learned everything I know from the guy.
As much as he loved his bar, he hated the city, how it was rotten to the core. Eventually he packed up and decided to open up shop here, a nice quiet place. I tagged along 'cause, you know, homeless.
Then I got old enough to start living on my own, and he booted me out. Been living on odd jobs ever since.
Well, you know, 'till I got the IT gig.

-Hasn't had all that much to drink, since he's the one driving back-
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?

You know, I ask myself that question all the time.
Well, after the parents died when I was.....fifteen? I ended up on the streets for a couple of months until I got a job wiping tables at a bar. Didn't get paid, but I got free lodging in the attic.
Said bar happened to be owned by one Mike Haggar.
