RP here

This is the discussion thread. This is the place for any out of character discussion including putting backstories together, preparing to release new antagonists, and the like. The RP itself will be up in a couple of days. Until then, I will probably talk to each of you and figure out the best ways to connect your character with the rest of the group. This is the place for that as well.

I guess, I'll start with the rules. They basically amount to: No godmoding, no creating plot holes, and no altering someone elses character without their permission. Other than that, just don't be a jerk. Your character can be a jerk, but you shouldn't be.

yes, yes we do like them magics. and them fairy godfathers and unicorns.

you know, i have to wonder if there are little tween girls that go on exciting adventures into the forest to find the noble and prettiful unicorn...

only to find some douchebag deer thing that tells to "gtfo".

The word "Fairy Godfather" makes me think of the Seelie Court as some kind of hilarious,Blue-and-Orange Morality based mafia.

and yes, 'dem magics

Considering the RP's biggest antagonist is a Corrupt Corporate Executive from hell, I think the Unicorn occurrence is quite likely.

We should probably hash out the details of the city the game is set or starts in.

So, how should we connect our plot lines together?

oh noooooo, not the unicorn.

anyway, i agree on the city. at the very least, we know that there's a major forest nearby. maybe it's like a protected natural reservation?

...though i doubt summi regi would be pleased with the idea that humans are "protecting" him from the evil evil people.

Well, Mar'ris is basically a thief for hire, so one of the characters can hire him to help.

Also considering our "forces of good" consist mainly of a D-bag True Neutral Unicorn, a guy who runs a shady pawn shop, a bunch of magical frats, a Boxed Crookand a Hunter from Hell....Yeah

Compared to someone who's willingly bound themself to a daemon, a Corrupt Corporate Executive actually looks rather tame.

I had some ideas about a city when I posted "ITT: Urban Fantasy", by the way. Basically, Amberskye is a big metropolis on the coast of Maine that's the most eastern US city. This makes it famous for it's sunrises, of which the city just happens to have the proper placement/air conditions/weather for really spectacular ones. It's also surrounded by a huge forest inhabited by less civilized magical creatures, and is the base of operations for Shard International.

There should be at least some water nearby, otherwise Latch probably wouldn't stick around long.

Also: The carnivorous death horse is up for hire.

If you need a job, Colico could always use a hand around the shop, and believes in very extreme hiring diversity, what with being the unnatural spawn of an abomination against the heavens.

Aye, which is why I like that particular idea for a city. Plus there are a lot of rivers and lakes in Maine.
