I thought Robin Hood had a Bow NP though? XD
And GA Rcher uses a bow from time to time.
Also, and this is even more technical than any other case, Gilgamesh PROBABLY OWNS A BOW in his castle, but it'd not be of much use to him considering he flings Magic Swords/Axes/Lances at people. XD
Token Loli!Meanwhile, my Assassin is limited to the use of a (seemingly limitless) supply of throwing daggers, whatever poisons he can concoct with whatever materials he can get his hands on, and the mind-shattering eye of an Eldritch Abomination which he can only keep open for nine seconds before needing to recharge and which only really works if it makes eye-contact with its intended target. And amongst the Servants he's up against, quite a few of them are resistant to these techniques and at least one is flat-out immune to poisons of any kind.
Yep, he's definitely not getting involved in close combat for the most part...
The Danse Macabre CodexNope. A crossbow is not a bow. Crossbow users go by different names depending on the type of crossbow they use. Otherwise, they're just known as crossbowmen, not archers.
I highly doubt Gil would ever condescend to actually use a bow on anyone, even if he owns plenty. His is a gloriously simplistic binary thought process. If it's a dog, shoot sharp things at it while standing around haughtily. If it's not a dog, pull out Ea and cut apart reality.
I know. XP I was just being unnecessarily technical.
Also I don't know much about Fate/Extra but Robin Hood's fame comes from using a Longbow so I take issue with this interpretation. Ah well, nothing to do with anything any more as far as this thread goes...
Token Loli!...Note to self: people always take everything I say seriously. Either learn to abuse this power, or try and remind everyone that you're not the most serious of people. >.>
Yes I know a bow is different from a crossbow okay? >.< Ahem.
Ahem, but, uh, yes. To hell with what Fate Extra says, I still think of Yew Bow being, um, a longbow. Because that's what Robin Hood was famous for using. >.>
It amuses me that almost none of the Archers are actually archers. And here I go, proudly continuing the tradition
You know, I really like my friend's interpretation of Robin Hood.
This comes from the idea that there were actually multiple people at multiple times under the name of Robin Hood, and it makes use of Fairies and Sherwood Forest.
Also, twin Servant. X3 Epic.
Also, epic image. Yes? Heheh.
Edit since I don't want to double post, and there are no new posts:
@Grey Star: I'm actually taking a closer look at your servant.
No problems, but a minor suggestion regarding the eyes.
You could probably classify those as "Mystic Eyes" which would go under skills rather than a Noble Phantasm. However I admit that if you would rather classify them as "items" that is fine.
Just thought I'd suggest that, not sure if someone might have already. It's really quite minor anyway, but my preference to stay as close to canon as possible made me need to say something, eheh.

Token Loli!Ah, I see. Then whatever is fine. lol
Also, I've been wanting to say this despite it going so far off topic that really I shouldn't...
But your avatar. It amuses me. XD I like it.
Token Loli!

Whoa whoa whoa... Robin Hood too? Isn't he known for his archery with the long bow?
Meh...
