Easter Egg: There is a letter from "A.S Laboratories" hidden behind some books on a bookshelf in one of the rooms that mentions a Space-Span Device. A.S Laboratories is the same Aperture Science from the Portal series and the Space-Span device is the portal gun. If you find the letter, at the end in the final room, the body covered in chains and tied to the ceiling is a direct Shout-Out to G La DOS, and the dialogue between Justine and Clarice changes: Justine requests that Clarice post a letter to the mysterious A.S Laboratories to let them know that she is "still alive". The entire set up of the game acts as a Shout-Out to Portal.
Amnesia: Justine was part of the Portal 2 ARG.

And Orange Carrots.
Can't forget Orange Carrots.
You know the Dutch are why Carrots are mostly orange these days.
Because their royals were the house of orange and apparently in order to commemorate their stay as Temporary Monarchs in England.(Long story. See: The Glorious Revolution of 1689 I think is the date) every carrot-grower specifically grew only orange ones for the occasion.
