I'm actually taking the traditional art class for the first time this year.
Blending paint and gradating with paint are my most nemesis-y of nemesii.
Maybe because it's just kinda hard to use at first? I happen to have within my reach tutorials that help immensely...

A lot of really good tablets cost only 50-180 bucks. I heard there are tablets that have an actual screen on them, but I dunno. I hope so!

"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."the best picture i ever drew was that dick i drew in the back of my math notebook
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."If you scroll down to Illustrator CS4 Tutorials, you'll find them.
You can still do them in Photoshop, though. (And whatever other program that offers something like the pen tool, I guess?) They helped me a lot when I first started the class four years ago.
@Digital vs Traditional: There are just things that traditional can do that digital can't, and vice versa. I don't believe in either one being better, they're just different methods of working.
