I have found my people.
Goodbye, peasants.
Does Hyde count.
Considering he's considered utterly despicable just looking at him.
Enfield even says that he and a Medical Doctor (Do No Harm and all that) shared a look where they really wanted to see him dead for trampling a small girl, who really didn't actually get injured.
Instead they decided to demand him for money/compensation to the family.

I mean- I know Jekyll and Hyde are the most memorable characters, but- come on.
I'm pretty sure most adaptations shove Utterson out the picture or diminish his role.
And I haven't heard any tell of Utterson's cousin, Richard Enfield in these adaptations.

make it through this year if it kills you yet | 2001-2019Utterson, I realized recently.
Actually has potential.
Even though one of his key personality traits is quite literally: Being quite dull sometimes.
He really enjoys Sunday Walks along the street with said cousin, Enfield
Where they'd not talk at all, and just enjoy eachother's company as they walked down the street side-by-side.
It even says that they breathe a sigh of relief when they come across a friend.
Yet- they both consider it the highlight of their days, and postpone both pleasurable activities and Business to go on them.

It's only on closer inspection-
That Utterson might not be as bland as I first thought.
... Although, honestly he really isn't written as well as he could've been, which is where a lot of his bland-ness probably comes from.
