Yep, Cloud and Rennor confirmed for worst Moirails.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything? The good thing about splitting a group up around time periods means that I don't have to worry that Duffy has disappeared, because I can resume it at any time as if no time has passed.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?
G'night.
Cross posting:
Something's been bothering me for a while, but it's been reaffirmed since Stone brought up his thing.
Namely, Shmotor's portrayal of Zack.
Never mind that it was obvious with every line that he knew absolutely nothing about the character or even the source material, never mind that even for back then the dialogue was clunky, never mind that I had to ignore half of what he did just because he planned none of it out and made it up as he went along, and every two pages he made something else up and contradicted himself, and never mind that he had zero respect for Cloud as a character and didn't understand a thing about him on a grand scale (his brief description he posted for a new player was "has no actual personality but pretends to be other people").
That, truly, was sad stuff for the sake of sad stuff, and it bugged the hell out of me, even back then. He pulled a "Does psychological damage and causes hallucinations" syringe out of his asshole, despite my making it very, very clear over private discussions I wanted this done gradually and as a character development arc, not just as LOL CLOUD IS MISERABLE (this, by the way, marked my very first no -sell ever). And the stuff he had Zack say, even before he started contradicting himself, and even for a lazy AU counterpart, made no sense. And then he brought him back to life and had him say a bunch of stuff that further betrayed his lack of knowledge of the series to everyone just because LOL CLOUD WILL BE SAD.
So... I've been wanting to just retcon it into something that does make sense. Because if it's gonna have this much of an impact on him, it needs to make sense. I've all but done that in practice, anyway, and have been acting as though he stuck to the plan. But... Christ, I'm still tempted to just go the whole nine yards.
But on the other hand, GRRRR RETCONS. And as stupid as it was, I'm not sure if it would be disrespectful now that he's gone.

MY SOUL IS DARK BUT MY HAIR IS COLORFUL — Brahian Pokémon AlchemistIf you don't want something to have been done to your character, it's your call.
Remember how I had Tarvok try and be some dimension hopper? I've been downplaying that whenever I can these days, because it was kind of silly. It's not quite a retcon, but it's no longer part of his character.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?I'd go with slight retcon.

Explaining something in your head to another person helps you to structure it and make it a bit more logical.
Like a dream.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?Okay so instead of just normal brain-computer interface stuff, there are people with computers in their bodies and such but they're generally medical devices. My MC has one.
Because of some scare a couple decades ago they stopped making them have any wireless capabilities for security reason. This means the only way in or out of them is with a cable and to access them you need a password.
Because of this, for emergency reasons and because the device is completely self-contained, there's no "three strikes you're out" with passwords, meaning that, if you have enough patience, the passwords of these devices can be brute-forced.
I'm wondering if that sounds like a case where security is simultaneously important and half-assed or if that makes sense. I guess the idea is that with wireless people could potentially be messing with your device without your knowledge whereas with the requirement for a cable if someone's trying to mess with you and brute-force their way into it you can at least be like "hey you stop that."
Something vital to your life isn't something I'd want a password limit on.
What if an old lady forgot hers? It wouldn't be worth the risk of her getting it wrong three times and dying over it.
In that case, with no known way to wirelessly hack them, they'd be fairly safe. People would liken it to trying to hack a toaster.

What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?Okay, ts official game dev tycoon is the best $1.50 I ever spent....
I was doing a run where I mostly made knockoffs of real titles...
One of them was when the games version of the gameboy came out, I created a Scifi-RPG/Stratagy thing called Robomon, my version of pokemon only with robits instead of monsters...
The first entry in the series there, was made by a one person dev team, me, in the garage and sold several million, being what got me an actual office....
The latest entry, before I made this post not only broke all sales records within the game, but shattered my previous proffit record by a factor of ten, and was a launch title on my custom portable system.... making me even more cash, and allowing my system to overtake the mBox 360 and Playsystem 3....

how terribly ironic
