Spoilers for volume 3, but seeing Ruby makes me want to reprise my role as Pyrhha Nikos.

What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?I hate it when people spell it as "right of passage".
Norm approves +5
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?Culture shock
What Cloud isn't saying is that he's the little bitch that would scream and hide while the rest of his squad got shot at during every firefight for the first four months of service and then threw up for three hours when he actually finally killed a guy.
But he's been conditioned to accept the whole situation as normal by now so there you go.
I have it bookmarked for scientific purposes

Gracia understands that Cloud is capable of being very, very wrong about things. Disagreeing with him isn't new, but still rare.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?the thing is even during Cloud's initial warped retelling of the Nibelheim Incident, talking to the MP that we later find out is the real Cloud (the quiet one that never really says much) gets you "I never really wanted to be in Soldier..."
but it's easier to think he wanted it than to come to terms with any of the shit he did

In the villain plot yeah.
Good times, that.
