What I mean is.
People know that it's grating on some people now.
And I don't think a disliked state of affairs is going to stick around forever.
It's late and I'm losing my powers of cogence.
As for bridges being burned.
Yeah that's probably true and there might not be a strictly IC reason for reconciliation, but it's either fudging things or not participating.
Something's gotta budge.
I guess in response to that last post I'll just say this because I feel like it's something I can address.
Although I will have to vanish after this.
I think it's important to keep in mind that while remaining perfectly in-character is ideal, we have to, again, keep in mind that it's a collaborative effort, and that part of the compromise is blurring what in-character actually is for the sake of the other players.
Like, it is perfectly in-character for Archer to just fuck off now, but I don't think that's fun for Fox, or for anyone else.
So I think there should be some justification that we can come up with. Because you can actually make a surprising amount of things "in-character" if you justify them enough.
Just to be clear here, I'm not just addressing Fox here. It's something we all have to do, for the sake of the game, whether that be, hypothetical example, Cloud not instantly killing someone who's a doctor and just strongly disliking them or Gil not killing mongrels for disrespecting him, just trash talking them.
This was probably one of the issues prior to this discussion too, in that sometimes fighting was "in-character", but to other people it felt forced and like it was getting in the way of their own rping.
If I wasn't GM, I'd be including myself in this too. But I do try to attack it with the same philosophy, that it's the players' net enjoyment that matters the most. Plots, plans, what's in character... nothing matters as much as that.
So yeah in summary what Ram said.

Tbh.
I was kind of hoping I could get to this point without someone mentioning it IC.
I've been trying to get Fen to this point for months, and the planets finally aligned the right way to summon Cthulhu and make him make Fen come to some conclusions she needed to, to advance her character in a way that I wanted.
PM box is Closed, Indefinitely Friend Code: 3368-4181-6850@Squid: Oh no I agree that now, after an argument that bad there's no real place to go but up, and that this is a good time to turn things around. A good springboard, because hell, there are IC issues that said reactions would have just brought to the fore.
Particularly, again GM secret, because of where you are in the plot right now.
But I also think it's important that we do air all the concerns so that we are aware that they are concerns and that things will change.
Sorry if this feels a little off, I'm writing in a hurry because
Gone for real now.

i'm actually concerned now
i feel like i'm breaking out in a rash everywhere but there's no rash but i can't stop itching. my stomach hurts and i already threw up twice today and i'm kind of dizzy. i know antibiotics can fuck with your digestion since they kill off your gut bacteria but there's nothing i can find that says anything about this other stuff
I think I might be somewhat allergic to penicillin.
My father is as well so I really should have seen this coming. Then again I almost never take antibiotics so who the fuck knows.
I'm gonna go to bed, see if this clears up. We now return you to the previous discussion.

today on Trip Fucked Up
how i woke up my dad at 7:30 to take me to school, only to learn it was closed the moment we were in front of the gates due to news broadcaster Christopher Houlihan telling us this
i dont think ive ever seen such restrained fury in a normally peaceful man
also apparently chris houlihan got a job after his appearance in zelda
hey guys
so do you think the new website design looks like shit, or like complete utter shit?
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."

How is it railroaded, though? None of us are GM so it's not like any of us are in a position to "pull strings". The fact that we're all here means this has happened just from the events we've collectively written, and this is as good a time as any to start fixing things.
