it's funny because the jar jar from the cartoon is really not different from the jar jar in the movies, he's just used better
in the movies jar jar constantly does silly stuff and messes things up, but the characters don't really react to him, so he seems a bit awkward and out of place
in the cartoon he still constantly does silly stuff and messes things up, but the characters actually acknowledge how he is a clumsy idiot, and so he is more funny and endearing
it helps that most episodes featuring jar jar focus on him, which does away with the complaint that he's a pointless character that doesn't do anything for the plot
so yeah, the show writers handled him better
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."A lot about the mystery is left unsaid, or doesnt stand up to logic. Why the hell does Taun We not find it odd when Jango acts like he never heard of the sppnsor of the god damn army he has had cloned. To what extent is he working with Dooku? Why is he trying to start a war qhen he could have just retired on all those billions the army made him. Why does Dooku reveal that Sidious is in the. Senate, and why do the Jedi pretty much assume its a total lie not worth investigating? Why is Gunray still in charge of the Trade Feds? Why does the Senate not find it odd that the Chancellor declares he will build an army for the Republic, only to go "Oh by the way, heres one that got secretly prepared without ethical or Senatorial oversight ten years ago"?
This episode could have been the best, but the execution robbed it of potential. A Star Wars mystery thriller. How do you cock it up so bad?
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?oh shit the 2d clone wars cartoon
for a while i thought i had made that up
he's not really a liability in the movies either, he just exists and does not get shit done
in the cartoon he gets shit done and thus he is better

"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."![]()
because the episodes were so short and it aired so briefly that i just thought it was a false memory or something
in any case the 3d one was better
the power of idiocy

"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."insert angry reaction face here
but yeah
attack of the clones is a Bad Movie
@Clone Wars cartoon: I dunno, I never really felt like they redeemed Jar Jar.
They did him a lot better than the prequels sure, but that's not exactly saying much.
also that show did everything better than the prequels
even when at some points it shows the same sort of "philosophy"
it's mindblowing really and I think just goes to show again that Lucas needs someone else to filter his ideas through
but Grievous is not THE FUTURE in 3D clone wars and that makes me sad

i liked grievous' scenes in the 3d cartoon because they usually feature the battle droids and the battle droids are great
roger roger
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."@Trip: something something the dark side is a tumour and the light side doesn't exist according to the original movies
@Wacky: ehhhh
I think they laid on the slapstick a bit too heavily
but yeah it's not like CGI Grievous is a bad character
he's just disappointing compared to how I was introduced to him
but of course you know i would like the slapstick droids
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."

it's gonna be one of those, huh?
