i personally interpreted it as a cold
mario is red, i am green, i try my best, but everyone's meanIt's a good thing this game is as stable as it is (another pleasant surprise) because I've never gone so long between saves in my life.
Dammit Hana, stop giving me sidequests, I just wanna arrange my inventory.
So I previously called this game Shenmue on steroids.
Unlike Shenmue, the combat is a lot less rigid and unwieldy than its predecessor, which is good. Doing spinkicks into someone's nasal bridge is much easier when I'm not fighting with them to please walk forward and punch something for god's sake.
Like Shenmue, the cutscenes are reeeaaaallly long, and also entirely in Japanese so there's a lot of reading. Not that I mind, since I'm one of the few people in the world that's actually not bothered by really long cutscenes (as long as they're skippable the second time through in case I die), but it does make me that much more anxious about me wanting to save in case my game crashed. Dragon Age Inquisition has conditioned me to fear every slightly out of place walk cycle.
These damn host clubs are eating all my money.
I am finishing this sidequest and then I am never going back ever again.
What's the point of hostess clubs? Is it just a cultural thing? I'm sitting here trying not to be weired out by the fact that I'm flirting with girls half my age and dropping over 2 million yen on them and yet we have no intention of sleeping with each other.
Maybe???? Geisha seem to hold a similar social role in terms of entertainment from the documentaries I've watched (also without the shacking-up expectation either, at least normally). I've had the impression that hostess clubs, maid cafes, etc. was sort of intended to be a modern version of those things.
The damned queen and the relentless knight. But I like cheeseburgers, too. (sometimes anyway) If some customer walked in and brought me free lunch I'd be all over that shit.
Food is great and I fail to see why it would be considered an inappropriate gift.
was it a field trip
field trips suck

Don't geisha do actual entertainer shit, though, like the whole tea serving dance?

"Food" is too broad a category to put all items as appropriate or inappropriate as gifts, I feel.
They do. The array of things they may be called on to do, though, is broad, so it's not like there are going to be a ton of them around to supply demand even taking into accouny changing social mores.
