Worry not, I have already procured a suitable replacement.

Yes I am.
Oh my God I just read the RP.
Cloud and Jack are on a break aren't they?
"Shake the dust." - Anis Mojgani@Badge: that is certainly one way of summarising the current status of their unhealthy relationship yes
now I'm just picturing sitcom scenarios with Jack making puns about Cloud sucking the life out of him
@Norm: oooooh okay it was just me being slow yes
@Badge the sequel: Hokay so
I'm guessing the reason you were asking after me before was related to the RP, yes?

Yesh.
Main thing I'm wondering is whether or not I'd be hopelessly lost if I came in at this point, or if the character I'm planning on using (Sol, of course) would be hopelessly lost.

"Shake the dust." - Anis Mojgani@Squid: but hey, that's fine because after all you can rejuvenate your relationship
literally, because you cannot die
@Badge: Yep. Well.
I will say that at this point it will be a little difficult to catch up on one or both groups. It would not be impossible, not by far, no, but if I am honest you would probably be left asking a few questions for a while.
There is also the fact that it is a neat, if inelegant cutoff point to say "well, people have had to have been there since the start of the plot"
and then there is the fact that I am going to vanish for 5 days soon to travel across the country before showing up to GM again because personal family stuff
But yeah, I've been doing some thinking and I wonder if perhaps the fairest thing to happen here is for it to be a little mini anonymous poll as to whether we can fit one more person into the plot or not.
But aaa that feels a bit too back alley and clandestine.
Alright. I brought up that point out of fear that if I didn't get the whole story from the beginning, I wouldn't enjoy it as much. There have been RP's in the past where I sorta just trudge through it and not get much worthwhile out of it. (it's one reason why I left Justice Avengers, I think there was a coherent, singular plot going on at the time but I just wasn't interested in it)
In that respect, perhaps its best I stay out for now and come back in when its over.
(the fact that DIO's a villain is pretty cool tho)

"Shake the dust." - Anis MojganiWell, I definitely don't want to exclude you, but if you don't feel like you'd be invested in the plot then yeah, don't force yourself to.
And it would perhaps be fairest but I dunno.
In any case, it's good to have you back.
and thanks yeah it's funny to think that when I first brought it up I was one of the only people who had read jojo in the thread
