man
the fans that have risen around undertale really are simultaneously some of the best and some of the worst things to arise from the game
in that and many other respects, maybe I'm just reading too much into the fox connection but it's really reminding me of The New Homestuck
this is only really a half-formed thought though
for clarification I'd put the youtube shitposts into the positive side
@Fox: IT IS INDEED
free interaction is in fact on everywhere
(except for waking city because no-one was awake there)
AND ALSO GOOD

At the moment it's still transitioning into the total saturation that Homestuck once boasted, but it's on it's way there. Once people who've never played the game start making skeleton-bro incest fics, we know we're there.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?There's definitely incest fics by now, but at least they're by someone who has played and experienced the game. Soon the shitty fans will spontaneously generate themselves completely free of the original work.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?@riv: I sure do love searching through tags of fanart with safesearch completely and fully on to find that shenaniganry yes sirree
and yet on the other hand there's just such a volume of stuff that is good
there's just simply a deluge of fan created stuff
both good and terrible
@norm: hm, perhaps that is accurate
but as I said above, I have no inclination of actually testing it though

I'm pretty sure the rulebook actually has a clause for that exact specific condition, saying that whoever pulls it off is not only allowed to do it, but has full total bragging rights forever.
