It was the third giveaway card for the Pyramid of Light movie.
The first being Blue-Eyes Shining Dragon, the second being Sorcerer of Dark Magic, and the fourth being the actual Pyramid of Light. (Of them all, only Blue-Eyes had shininess.)
I honestly have no clue. Though, if GX was any indication Yugi kept it after the original series. Why is a mystery for the ages.

i feel cheated when it came to yugi in gx
not once did we get to see older yugi's whole face even though i'm positive he basically turned into yami
and jaden gets a good duel against the younger yugi
and then yami comes in and cheats his way to all the egyptian god cards or something
but what about OLDER YUGI
i wanted to see older yugi properly goddammit
mario is red, i am green, i try my best, but everyone's meanyou can get a ohko if you summon both the sphinx monsters, attack with them, destroy the pyramid, summon the super sphinx through its convoluted-ass summoning condition, all of this assuming you have no sort of defenses in your way
basically its terrible and impractical, but so is every play they make in the anime so its pretty fitting
also the whole game can be broken easily if you just use a mill deck like every other motherfucker out there
fucking mill decks
I spam buffs because I am not a bad sport.
I usually lose as a result.
Fuck mill decks.
Magic is superior game because the community isn't filled with people that will mill you to death
i remember trying to keep up with 5D's after stumbling after and trying to understand what went on in the tail end of GX
at some point i just lost track entirely
i didn't bother keeping up with the changes to the system until 11th grade or something where i had a brief resurgence of yugioh and got tuner and synchro monsters
all this yugioh talk is reminding me of the GX gba game and the cheap ways i could lose a duel
what is a mill deck
is it similar to a stall deck

mario is red, i am green, i try my best, but everyone's meanIf mill decks are any measure of card game goodness.
Then Hearthstone is the best of them all.
Because mill decks are trash in it.
Mill decks beat their opponents by making them overdraw their whole deck and piss away all their cards. At least in Hearthstone that's how it works.
It's a stall deck but with a twist.

Basically what happens in 5Ds is that there's this blond guy that's being manipulated by this guy with long white hair in this futuristic cyberpunk city and they ride motorcycles and wait a fucking second.

yeah
One of the automatic lose conditions in Yu Gi Oh is if it's your turn and you therefore draw a card at the start of it, if there are no more cards to draw then you lose by default, and since decks only have 40 cards in them (60 in some forgiving places but usually 40) it's really, really easy to make that happen.

oh god
i vaguely remember playing a guy that had a deck similar to that
i never lasted very long because it eventually reached a point where he pierced my defense or subjected me to that
my deck was very outdated so that clearly must have been the main issue
mario is red, i am green, i try my best, but everyone's meanactually the meta game for a very has just been
special summon a billion monsters at once, overwhelm the opponent with sheer offensive force before they do the same to you
mill is borderline suicidal now because of all the cards that give off effects when they go to the graveyard, or can be used from the graveyard
Yeah but since you draw a card at the start of every turn (not counting additional "draw X cards" effects, which mill decks also have) it means you run out fast if you're being milled.
Handy if you're running Exodia, I guess, but nobody runs Exodia because it's one of those convoluted "awesome in the anime, but impractical in the actual game" setups.
haha wow
well, can't say i'm sad i jumped ship then
is that that "synchro-summon" crap?

Actually that's the same as how hearthstone works. As in, with card draw.
If you just straight up run out of cards in that you lose, that's actually kind of nuts.
The way I'm used to running out of cards is.
When you don't have cards to draw, you draw 1 damage that goes right to your face. Then the next time you draw, you take 2 and it just keeps going up by 1 every time.
Which means milling is kind of hard because it's not an instakill.
Though if you're a mill deck and you make the other guy take fatigue damage, you're in a really good spot.
I personally hate mill decks because they're good against the deck archetypes I like i.e. greedy control decks.
What am I doing rambling about this I'm the only one who plays this game here.

uh
so i went and poked around to see if the yugioh wiki had anything on yugi after gx and
he was a lot more ripped than i remember
@Spazzer: Well, it's good that you've stopped. I'm not a huge fan of the meta at all. In fact, I love the artwork of the cards and lore more.
@Tats: My nerdish-ness is pretty deep. I obsessed over a Rockman 4 rom hack and an obscure subtitled abridged series for Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. I'm sure I even created the pages for both things. Go look up Rockman 4: Minus Infinity and Vaguely Recalling Jojo.

Alright fine. I'll keep my little pocket universe of happiness intact. I'll never touch it again, but they will live on in spirit.
And now I gotta go, much as I
