behold, my post for the day showing that I am alive

also

I had an idea for the next excuse for a skype chat if it happens

namely culture and cultural differences

because everyone seemed to enjoy seeing how little everyone else knew about their background with those quizzes

and also because I just learned that you guys apparently don't have savoury pies what the hell what is wrong with america

oh thank goodness

see, I was linked to a thing which had americans expressing confusion at the concept of a meat pie, and generally assuming that pies were only a sweet thing

the only exception being pot pies which aren't the same at all

it would seem that I have been suckered

It depends on where you live I think.

Also PYRO!

I have been playing DS 2 Record Breaker again.

i always found it amusing how while australia speaks with an accent alike to england, canada speaks with an accent alike to the united states

i wonder why the american manner of speech is so infectious, just like the culture

I think it says something about how spineless Harriet is that Gracia can talk her out of something.

What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?

It's like.

The elongated garage sounds British-ish.

But that's the American one.

The short garage is the British one.

@jam: Record Breaker is in fact the first SMT game I have no intention of getting at any point soon

@Seer: wait what we sound english how also what kind of english

but anyway the answer to your question likely has to do with cultural and geographic similarities

like, as much as we make fun of New Zealand accents, they're apparently phonetically closer than any other dialect in the world to us

and apparently americans do the same to canada

seriously though new zealand is our canada (sure the accent sounds south african as much as anything, but it is making fun of trends seen in the NZ dialect)

Well there is that (symptomatic of character designs in general being... eh. Not all of them are bad, but they are on average a lot more generic)

plus the emphasis in the remake feeling a bit off

like creating actual extra sprites for the worst scene in the game... gotta get that otaku cash

that and overall while I enjoyed the original game it was probably one of my least favourite in... all of Megaten

DS 1 had the floating boobs too, but overall I like it a lot better than 2
