do you mean stroke wise or actual thickness of the arm
it's important to make sure it looks proportional to the body
if you have a slender lady try not to beef her out and vice versa for a beefy lady
when i set up bodies, i usually just draw ovals of varying length and thickness to match what i'll eventually want out of it
mario is red, i am green, i try my best, but everyone's meanAl right.
This is what I have right now

Should I make it thicker/longer?

Ah, excellent.
Yeah-
I think I'm getting there?
-looks at what I'm using as reference/trace-
-looks at size of what I'm drawing- Hmm. I'm starting to think I should start moving the pixels I'm working on further down the canvas.
