as I've made quite obvious Lancelot's version of the 4th holy grail war actually had a lot of interesting deviations that I tried to make sense of.
for instance Kiritsugu summoned the assassin class instead of Kotomine, and the servant he got was Heracles.
Kotomine got stuck with a Lancer in a great example of foreshadowing, and also it was Li Shuwen.
Tokimoi still summoned Gilgamesh and Waver still got The king of conquerors, those are universal constants.
but Kariya got saddled with Saber Lancelot instead of Berserker, so you know his mental state didn't get as fragged up over time cause his servant was willing to help him.
poor Kayneth got stuck with a berserker (which I haven't really decided on because his role is to get whacked by Kiritsugu still).
and of course, Gilles was still summoned as caster, because really no one else could have been summoned
anyway Gil back in this fourth holy grail war wasn't as much a jack ass obviously, he was still unsavory but he was probably closer to being like his fate prototype incarnation than even his fate/zero self.

I'm not gonna info dump cause I still wanna keep a few things about just what the hell went down in this alternate timeline a mystery
but Gilgamesh, Iskander, and Lancelot managed to develop a (occasionally begrudging) respect for one another, plus there's an incident where Heracles nearly mopped the floor with Lance.
by the way another random fact I've never gotten around to explaining the RP:
in real life Arthurian Myth Lancelot was kind of a dick to horses when he wasn't being a dick to people, so his horses never had a name and he tended to use them til they died from exhaustion (this pissed Gawain off a lot)
I didn't really feel that was appropriate for nasuverse lancelot since it's established he's a friendly person and probably not the type to abuse animals, so I'm just going with Concorde for fun.
