I have to concede that Jackson was a badass, but in more of an Anton Chigurh way than a James Kirk way.

Worst is undoubtedly Jackson.

Best is Clinton maybe? My parents actually had money and insurance and a house while he was in office. Say what you will about his personal life but he was really, really good at the economy thing. How many times have we ever been out of debt ever before or since him?

2. he kept america together

3. he grew a beard because a little girl wrote a letter to him saying he should

Adams wanted the president to be addressed as something absurd.

His Excellent Electoral Highness or some shit like that.

But Washington was like nah.

Mr. President.

No I meant- others demanded him to be in office.

Also-

Do you ever have those moments where you wonder where the hell did you hear a name from?

Like- I was for whatever reason whilst thinking of presidents- going "Washington Carver" which I think sounds like a pretty cool name. Something you'd see as a protagonist in a gritty action flick.

So I searched the name.

American Botonist and Inventor, born 1864 or 1861.

Jackson was a douchebag.

But he wasn't incompetent.

Unlike Harding and Buchanan.

So I'd say they're worse.

I mainly like Kennedy because of his sheer strength and charisma as a leader. I think we need someone else like that soon.

@Olive: Whoa, geddout, you didn't know about Carver before then? Carver was really cool in his own way.

Have you guys ever seen the Confederate States of America? It's a mockumentary about America made as if the South had won the Civil War.

I didn't really know about him, no.

It was just a name that surfaced in my head.

From somewhere.

Which is bizarre because I don't recall ever researching botany.

I never try to judge someone on their personality but whether they get stuff done. Eisenhower mobilized the 101st to force the integrations of schools.

Warren G harding established the prohibition and spent his private time getting plastered.

In terms of British Prime Ministers I can't really say who's the best.

I mean- I'd be tempted to say- Robert Walpole.

Just off the top of my head, that's who I think of as someone who is a good PM. That or Disraeli.

Worst is probably that Labour guy that came before Thatcher.

Now monarchs on the other hand.

I'd probably put my favorite as James I, and least favorite as Charles II.
