@Ramobilespace: Perhaps a break would be good, yes. Particularly given timezones and all.
Do keep in mind though, that... eh, I'm worried this will come off the wrong way. I guess, just remember that we can have a good discussion, and that generally we don't want to screw each other over. Thinking it will be bad can be a self-fulfilling prophecy.
aaa still kind of worried that comes off a little odd but to be clear I don't mean to direct that at any one person in particular or anything

before I go to bed I want to say this
Riv, Duff, you are both the current G Ms. Your job is to give the players a fun experience. If you think that to do that you have to cut the cast down to one per person then I will be absolutely fine with that.
However tomorrow I'll probably present a few more methods on how I think people could be allowed to keep a second character around. I'm not going to do it to annoy you but because I think the plot can still be fun as is. though I'll definitely be suggesting a method that makes GM'ing easier on you both.
in reality, that's all anyone ever really wants, fun. I just hope everyone keeps in mind tomorrow that all anyone should want from this situation is an end result where everyone has fun.
and I apologize for that speaking through spazz comment, that one was uncalled for.

Permission to switch conversation to the Stagnation fairy tail I made up on the spot that I wanted to gush about before all this took off?

What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?Okay, so just to try to get some actual discussion going here's the thing.
Alot of us are not just playing our secondary characters for Shiggles. I'm not saying anyone said that but in most cases I've seen that people put as much planning and effort into their secondaries as they do their mains.
So having Spaz come out of the blue and announcing that we'd lose all that came as a serious shock.
And of course we just don't want to lose what we've built up, and have future plans for.
Now as for where I stand I'm for cutting down the cast for this plot alone if it means we'll get actual movement in the RP.
But just for the sake of coming to an understanding why exactly is it you guys, Duff/Riv feel you can't handle having two characters for everyone? We already know its a large roster but what specifically have you been having problems with?
PM box is Closed, Indefinitely Friend Code: 3368-4181-6850Hokay so.
I have literally no idea where any of the ideas came from. They just spilled out as I wrote. And it all ended up making sense towards the end, and all latching together.
I haven't really felt like that, creatively speaking, since I did my Doctor Who plot, and it's a super nice feeling to make something amazing and internally consistent and enjoyable with very little prior planning.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?Because that's twenty separate people we have to:
A. keep track of close to at all times
B. give something to do
C. ensure is contributing enough to keep things engaging and fun for everybody
It's a very scattered and at times disorienting process, and makes GM-ing very tedious and unenjoyable, at least for us.

I feel an important thing to say, if I can word this properly..... I don't know if I can but I will try.
I would rather have the 1 character per person limit myself, even if it causes pain in the short term then to keep up with the hard lock, and especially if some one leaves and we don't allow them to come back or the like.
It just seems, super super wrong, to be allowed to play multiple characters contributing to an over flow.... if at the same time, we are screwing over other people who don't get to play at all because of it.
I'm not even sure what myths in particular inspired me. I only had a vague idea for how Gracia's planet's mythology worked.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?Does everyone know what I'm talking about, by the way?
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?

Oh well everyone seems set on not making it a permanent rule so it's likely just going to be for our plot.
