If it would help ease things, I am probably permanently out due to my inability to keep up.
Even so, I must echo the sentiment that this is sudden and troubling. I know you're technically within your right to do that, but such a move actively alienates like, half the present playerbase.
make it through this year if it kills you yet | 2001-2019Well.
Personally I don't have much problem with it, but that's in large because of the fact that I just play one person anyway.
And @Ram: I don't actually think you had an oversized cast. I mean in theory you did, but in the end, I don't think you were juggling too many characters at once.
It can be a real pain to juggle so many characters, and if Duff and Riv are struggling to the point where they need to, well, it might have to happen.
At the same time though, some G Ms might be able to cope with 2 characters. But that is still open as an option too. So I don't think people should panic.
Yeah I had plans for my sub characters as well.
This doesn't need to be made a universal rule, we should go on a case by case basis. I'm sure everyone wouldn't mind accomidating whoever's G Ming if they don't feel they can do that.
But making this a rule is like swatting a fly with a nuke.
PM box is Closed, Indefinitely Friend Code: 3368-4181-6850I did when I offered for Riv/Duffy to confirm this if they're still awake. I'm not bullshitting, guys.
Also, I'm sorry, but if you're going to say that at least offer a solution to the alternative. You can dislike it all you want, and I understand why, but again, this is what may need to happen unless you want me to start making an executive call on who gets to participate in a plot, period.
I am open to suggestion for alternatives. If you do not like this, please list them. I will listen.
I've sensed from the start that this current plot has had problems, and I could tell even the two of them were having trouble accommodating the cast. It's not just a matter of remembering everyone and not ninja'ing - depending on the cast size, whole fight scenes can go differently, the mood of situations can change and a whole long more things can go wrong. I chose in my plot to discourage multiple characters and that kept everything manageable.
So, yeah, if Riv and Duff want to cut the cast down to size, let them. And if it works well, all the better.

What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything? As an addendum, no, I suppose this does not have to be a permanent rule considering this stuff is case-by-case anyway, but it does need to happen for this plot specifically. That can't be helped unless you guys start offering me alternatives.
Alright, yes, we've established that.
This plot, though.

Y'all are moving real quick, so I'll just toss it out there real quick that there is really waaaaay too many characters to point and direct at once, even between the two of us, so if you're doubting Spaz's word on it, that's what officially is going on.
mario is red, i am green, i try my best, but everyone's meanhonestly this is what happens then I think I'd be ok with it on some level, it'd flush some planning and stuff I was potentially doing for my own plot in the future down the tube but I think I could manage.
but here's an alternative: during action scenes, focus only on one character. I know this sounds kinda half assed, but i rarely tend to focus on both my chars during fighting scenes in the first place and normally just devote attention to one or the other. It's sorta like a less extreme version of the current idea, only people can pick which character they'd like to focus on for fighting and then afterwards have both players back.
also it's kinda uncool to just have you spring it on us like this spazz. I'm not mad at you, but I'm uncomfortable that Riv and duff were speaking through you instead of coming to us directly.

@Space: The thing is though, apparently things have not been fine for Duffux in that regard.
I'm guessing Squid P Med them at some point asking what was up with the plot not moving, they explained, and as she is the overall GM, that's why it is being A Rule now.
And I think we should wait for them to explain a little, if they want to, rather than just going on maybes and assumptions.
Seer, Ram.
Please calm down.
You might think this is overly authoritarian, fair enough, but I'm really not sensing any aggression here.
Like, I've seen before that sometimes situations seem to escalate more because people are worried it's aggressive/hostile etc. which proceeds to actually make it aggressive/hostile.

In regards to speaking through Spaz:
No, no, no, no, no.
I asked Duff today if he's been clear for the RP and one of his issues with being able to do this again is the bloated cast size.
Duff's idea was "I'll PM her and maybe we can get a discussion going about the cast."
We just didn't expect the discussion to rocket out without either of us being here for it.

You didn't answer Space's concern.
And if this is permanent, I'm dropping out, period. I like my cast and refuse to be forced to choose one.
