Hmm. Bureau of Labor Statistics saya in 2010 US public-sector labor union participation was 31% of federal, 35% of state, and 46% of local workers - apparently it's now higher than private sector.
I was just wondering since they're trying to recruit new members.

The damned queen and the relentless knight.Alright so anyway, the newbie thing distracted me, and I don't want to seem like I'm dredging up something but.
I'm sorry, I kinda have a problem with the Djinn thing. Mostly because I'm a big fan of PMMM, and the contracts are the central driving force of the whole show. To just be able to overturn the basic nature of how something works like that really needs to come at some kind of cost, if only for the sake of telling a story.
It really seems like, an extra-dimensional being decided to magic away all the draw backs of being a magical girl, at risk to itself, because Liman asked nicely. It just doesn't seem like they actually earned something like that.
PM box is Closed, Indefinitely Friend Code: 3368-4181-6850Hm, that's true
But I would think of the contract/deal with the Djinn as- "Do not act against me nor my kin in this plane."
I.E. What they do, in order to be able to have their wish granted is that they are unable to act against the Djinn's agenda, at least directly nor overtly
Now, consider that they are-for the first part, part of the ruling trio of what can be considered the most advanced nation as well as able militarily of their world, and that they are poised to conquer said world
This means, that in exchange for said wish being granted, they basically gave the free reign for demons/Djinns to do whatever they want in their world
всегда веренI should add-
An explanation of Aetheric magic.
Which is what gods and the Djinn use more directly and effectively than people on the material plane.
It is based around the idea of flows- and gusts of wind (hence Aetheric) within the mind, and the souls of Djinn, Gods, Angels, Etc- their souls can generate these winds on their own much more effectively than a material one (Which is more like a fire, than an Aetheric being's tornado). It works better when there is something to act against, and stale-ness of the Aetheric planes does not benefit Aetheric magic at all.
Despite the power of the gods and the Djinn- the only way for them to directly have an impact is to try and generate these currents of wind- one of these ways is through acting inside the material world- gods do it through worshippers taking some of their wind and using it, in terms of miracles and such. Clerical magic. The Djinn- basically try to keep their name in the material plane, and wait for mortals to summon them where they then offer to do them a service, and thus directly impact the plane. It benefits them to gain more power and influence- to grant these wishes because they are things that often require large amounts of this aetheric magic.
And thus- being summoned and undertaking large amounts of (not reality-warping, mind) aetheric magic benefits them, in the Djinn's war against the gods.
But then, it is Lemon's decision. And I felt, personally, that I would not be able to do this on-screen.

1.5 imperial gallons of tea were consumed during the writing of this postSo think of it this way-
Djinns and the Gods are two opposing companies/business that seeks to gain foothold in the economy by gaining currency (i.e. magic/influence/flow)
To them, a customer(worshiper/wisher) spends (uses their powers) and thus increases their value(influence/magic capability), in this case- Liman
Hence, by knowingly using the service of a Djinn, Liman forwards the agenda of the Djinn and increases the influence with which the Djinn will be able to use against the local deities
Not her main ones anymore, no
As it is, she can't transform anymore, nor use her meguca abilities save for very basic telepahty and a weak form of regeneration

всегда веренIt still feels incredibly cheap. Let me explain it this way.
In your perspective all that happened.
What's happened in the thread is that Liman went away, had the drawbacks of her powers removed, and she came back.
That's why it feels cheap. You didn't portray it as a thing that's affecting Liman's character in the public space.
I mean she bascially traded a whole world for her own life. That's some serious stuff.
PM box is Closed, Indefinitely Friend Code: 3368-4181-6850Now, see—The trade is mostly under the books. This is a world where deals of such nature are frowned on, and saying the name themeselves are considered bad omen
It is not that she traded the world for her life. What she traded for is her possible future actions against the Djinns
But the thing is-This is a major event for her. None of the rest of the world knew about this. She won't speak about it openly, and she will have her doubt from time to time
However, its simply that she is well aware in a world where gods are the main driving force, the Djinn's action themselves are repressed on a global scale and embedded deep into cultures areound the world as a form of barrier on its own
Thus, it is after she is aware that even if she herself wasn't able to act, she knew that the religious organizations and various kingdoms would act on their own without her input to repress and prevent the Djinns from acting
Also remember, all of this is OOC information
I have not confirmed them IIC yet, nor is this a definite information that I have been able to display IIC. Remember-I just talked about it today
I have not even gotten to the parts which we have discussed IIC yet
And power wise, they lost most of it. Also, no-they will not sell out their kingdoms
всегда веренAnd in regards to the Djinn-
They aren't straight up Faustian devils.
If you need me to explain them, and their motives- I'll happily explain them in a PM.
They aren't like the Chaos Gods, or Demons.
There are selfish ass-hat Djinn that will waste your time, or do as little of the wish as possible, or twist it in a way that doesn't benefit their summoner, but does benefit them due to the use of power.
But there are some that are nicer than that.
I could go into a wall of text as to why the Djinn do what they do, and why they're treated like they are, but to cut a long story short- the gods are not good, and the Djinn are not evil. They are opposing factions, one which is in a better position than the other.
1.5 imperial gallons of tea were consumed during the writing of this postThis is the enitre problem here. You can have as much background information as you want but it basically came right out of the blue and fixed a huge problem for Liman as if it was an after thought.
I can get not being able to do some things in the thread. And I also get that Liman just now got back but it was not even alluded to that she could or would be doing this before hand.
There needs to be build up, and there needs to be some kind of effect on the character besides losing a few powers. Especially when it comes to soemthing this big and life-changing.
That's all I have left to say because I am very exasperated right now.
PM box is Closed, Indefinitely Friend Code: 3368-4181-6850Just a thought, but maybe people would have a much easier time swallowing it if ALL magical girl abilities were gone, the regen, the telepathy, every thing.
It makes it less "I went off screen to remove the downsides of my powers" and more "I went off screen to fix a mistake, it is undone at a great cost"

Nice.
I would also make it my one, but- well-
I have to have this quote from Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels
Because I'm british, this is my dimension as a character.
