that is absolutely
disgusting
like not even fucking around
that is legitimately something that shocks me
every nation in the fucking world besides liberia and myanmar
and they don't teach their students how to do metric, or at least convert it
a simple formula, is of course
(celsius x 1.8) + 32
for temperature anyway
distance and weight are pains that i don't remember well

Like-
I am more familiar with a kg of something than a pound of something.
But can visualize a pint more than a liter.
And then- I'm more familiar with a foot than a meter.
And a mile more than a kilometer.
And I just can't quite equate what Fahrenheit is in comparison to celcius.
1.5 imperial gallons of tea were consumed during the writing of this postthe only part of it i will defend at all is fahrenheit
while it is not so good for scientific measuring, its good for human measuring
which is to say
its easy to look at a scale that says "0 is super cold, 100 is supwr hot"
and quickly and intuitively gauge what a temperature is actually like
UN JOUR JE SERAI DE RETOUR PRÈS DE TOIOr you could just go: it's below zero so its below freezing point, it's above 100 so its above boiling point.
Actual, definable points.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything? In Australia, a room temperature between 19-22 is standard.
12 degrees is jacket and beanie weather. 28-32 degrees would be a decent outdoor temperature, but there'd be riots if the room temperature was that high.
What if there’s no better word than just not saying anything?i remember having flights of fancy when i first started considering doing something big
i liked to imagine my silly kids
up on tv and thought about how really cool that'd be
back then it was more self inserty
literally because one of my friends was a member of that crew
i phased him out because i couldn't keep justifying him in there
but i always had it in the back of my head
"gotta give him royalties for using his likeness"
mario is red, i am green, i try my best, but everyone's mean

I had to teach myself to do it.
